Video games have been in existence for decades now. They’ve spawned hundreds of media icons, Mario and Sonic being key examples. Millions of games, covering just about everything in your imagination and more. However, in every single video game, there’s something you have to do, a way you have to do it in.

Not anymore.

Welcome to the Get Violent Video Game RPG, the RPG that lets you take control of your favourite video game character and do just about anything with him. Solid Snake vs. Bowser, Leon Kennedy vs. Kratos, Master Chief vs. Gordon Freeman, the possibilities are endless. Get writing.

The Layout

This is the first Season, and the location is New York City. Players first posts will feature their character in familiar surroundings, possibly a key point in their history, before mysteriously finding themselves in the modern day city. From season to season, the location will change, next season could be Ancient Greece from God of War, or Talon from Metroid Prime for example.

It may be that a player may take certain other character’s/items with them to pose as interesting plot points, say Liquid Snake could be hold of a Metal Gear, or Master Chief brings his war with him, its up to you.

The Rules

- No characters from video games based on comic books or movies etc, this game is designed for video game characters and nothing else.

- No killing taken characters without the player’s permission. That may be harder with some characters so be careful.

- Stay within your character’s limits. Mario isn’t going to be jumping sky scrapers anytime soon.

- Check what you’re bringing with you with an official. Don’t want someone bringing World War 2 with them for example.

Hate to soil the new OOC, but I just can't get the muse for this RPG - for either of my characters. I've felt this way about Lara for a while, but I thought Mario was salvageable. However, the more I think about it, the less I feel like I can dedicate myself properly.

Do they know anything about Falcon? Sam & Max only seem to focus on one case at a time. Besides, the Freelance Police are, oh I don't know, a little tied up at the moment (as is CF) ...

Don't worry, once the battle is over, I'm sure all the good characters from the fight will be getting to know one another well enough

If you REALLY want the F-Zero racer punished, well ... they'll be sure to give you a nice thrashing eventually

Just be patient. Took Electro UK forever to put up two/three of my characters on it (Kerrigan and Sam & Max). Just ask for your character to be put up on the roster.

Gold will soon be joining the fight alongside Samus and Kirby, but after Spyro ends his meet with Sora and Link starts fighting alongside Red and Fox.

(No nonsense) Application for the "Get Violent" Video Game RPG

Name of character and game that he/she/it appears in: Bowser of the Super Mario series

Powers/skills/inventory of the character: Bowser is a large, spike-shelled, reptillian creature. He can breath fire and turned into the monsterous Giga Bowser under certain circumstances.

Will your character be bringing any other characters, items from their game with them?: Bowser will be bringing his army of Goombas, Koopas, and Koopa Paratroopas.

Why have you chosen this character?: This RPG needs more villians, and Bowser will be a welcome addition.

Can you provide any need-to-know information about your character for players with no knowledge of that character?: Bowser has raged war against the Mushroom Kingdom for a very, very, VERY long time. He always succeeds in capturing Princess Peach, but his nemesis Mario finds a way to defeat him every time.

Please provide your sample "blackout" post if your character comes from a different time to the present setting:

The dear Princess Peach Toadstool cowered in fear as villianous creatures raided her castle. Goombas, Koopas, Paratroopas, all invading her privacy. But that wasn't the worst of it-Bowser, the leader of this treacherous army, was also present. Her good friend, Mario, however, was not.

The reptillian creature ripped the only door seperating him from the princess down. He stomped into her bedroom, with several Koopas and Goombas following after. "Grrr...servants, you have my permission to wreck this room." the King Koopa said, in deep, raspy and growling voice. Peach was suprised, she had never heard this monster speak before.

"How did you learn to speak?!?" she said in awe. Bowser marched foward, putting his face mere inches infront her's.

"After all these years of silence, I decided to...expand my dialect." he growled, "Now tell me, where is your little boyfriend?"

"I don't know, he and Luigi went missing days ago. I've had my Toad's searching for just as long. But don't worry, when we find him, you'll be the last to know."

Bowser snorted, smoke pouring out of his mouth as he took a breath. He grabbed the frail princess with one claw and held her high in the air. "Your ignorance is making me furious, Princess! Now tell me-WHERE...IS...THE PLUMBER?!?!"

Peach squirmed in the reptillian's grasp, but finally gave in, "Alright! Alright! Last time I talked to Mario, he cut the conversation short because he had to check out some house's plumbing. I haven't seen him since."

Bowser smiled, his sharp teeth showing. "Where's the house?"

Not too long after, Bowser and his army arrived at the house. He broke the door down, and found a large green pipe. He turned and faced his army. "Severants, we are about to embark on a new journey of tyranny. Jump into the pipe, and I will follow after you." One by one, the Koopas and Goombas jumped into the pipe. After they were all in, Bowser lunged into the pipe, prepared to beat that annoying plumber once and for all.

We have a huge lack of villians here, so I decided to go after one of the ones we need. In all honesty, it took forever for any Super Mario characters to applied for, which surprised me.

We have quite a few villains actually. The fact that simonz43 and his friend both picked up villains, and now you're picking up on a villain ... yeah, we got a good number of bad guys now.

Remember: Most of the villains in this RPG have minions. Spider Mastermind has hordes of Zombies and Demons, Kerrigan has her Zerg, Arthas has his Undead, The Trickster has his evil plants, and Robotnik has his Badnik robots. And of course, now we have Bowser and his Koopas, Goombas, etc. This isn't even counting the Heartless, who are wild and leaderless.

We do have enough villains if we take their minions into consideration. I forsee a BIG war between the villains brewing once the Spider Mastermind steps out of the spotlight
