Things The Government Should Start To License

1. Having Children- Within 2 generations we could elminate racism, idiots, and the people who green lit Justice League and Catwoman.

2. Murder- Every year you should be able to kill one person. This would stop all the mindless violence, and get people to really think about who deserves to die. I have a feeling those same Justice League/Catwoman green lighters wouldnt last the first year.

I'm sure there's more, now give me ideas so I can send these in a letter (composed entirely of cut out letters and words from magzines) to my senator

Not if we license it . It's really a eugenics program, but done on street level, with the entire population. You can breed animals for certain qualities, and damn it, you could do the same with people if you really wanted. You cannot equate animals with humans due to the fact that all humans are ideologically diverse in their moral potential and have free God-given will. We are subject to our actions and are answerable to them sooner or later on in life. You are basically allowing genocide and anarchy to be licensed, at the same time considering of controlling the gene pool like what the Nazis' Aryan pogrom did to the Jews. Know that certain ideal characteristics are relative, but the universal truth is, if the world is all that bad, why didn't the world blow itself up a long time ago?

also non-pro-bono plastic surgery shouldn't be given to anyone under 21 years of age.

I would also go with the average 'breast implant' as it sells a incorrect message about self esteem and also makes breast cancer harder to detect.

As well as a license to purchase and order fast food, One is required to make sure they pass a medical on a yearly basis which would allow them to consume high sugar drinks and foods, if their bmi is off AND their body fat is significantly high, they wont be allowed to be served at certain places. You have to be a certain age to order certain drinks, why not a certain size to order certain foods.

it would have its benefits as unlicensed people will have a reduction of healthy living food and the fast food would be heavily taxed to pay for it all for those who are healthy enough to want to consume it.

China has 1.3 billion people and a population crisis in its major urban centers. The United States has 300 million people and its population boom does not represent an immediate crisis under foot.

Forcing parents to get a license is unacceptable. Who gets to make the decisions? What you'll get is a bunch of self-proclaimed experts who grant licenses to people they think would make good parents. That is such nonsense, because what constitutes a good parent to one person, may constitute a bad parent to another (case in point: if I was on the board, evangelical Christians wouldn't be allowed to have children because they're ideological terrorists; but if an evangelical Christian was on the board, I couldn't be a parent because I'm a homosexual and would promote man-on-dog sex instead of the birds and the bees).

Furthermore, what makes society so high and mighty it has the right to judge who should or shouldn't be a parent? Because someone's black, lives in inner city Camden and can't hold a job doesn't make him or her a bad parent. Because someone is a single parent living on a crappy income doesn't mean they'll be a bad parent, either. Worst of all, the people who usually end up awful parents-- you know, the ones who molest their children, beat them with wrenches or drive them off a dock in a minivan-- are the ones who don't seem like they'll snap in the first place and would pass a licensing exam with flying colors.

Finally, if you think someone is going to be a bad parent, there's a system which works perfectly in the United States called an abortion. Thankfully, most mothers can judge whether they're going to screw up their child's future. And if the mother decides to forgo the abortion and adoption, and raises the child on her own but completely fails at it, we have something called Social Services which places those abused or neglected children in foster homes with other families.

Licensing parents has way too many loopholes. It's also segregation in its purest form, and a slap in the face to that whole "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" bit we've prided our country on for so many years.

Save for thyroid and medical conditions the government should tax anyone overweight (high body fat percentage). According to recent stats, its 60% of Americans. What's there not to love about this tax, its not racist, sexist, ageist. It doesn't discriminate against homosexuals either.

Here's an idea--not sure if it counts as a "license," but I think it's outside the box.

Before anyone can run for an elected official in city, state, or national elections, they have to pass a psych evaluation and get a B average in a test based on IQ, problem solving, and US history and the US Constitution (adding the same with the city for those elections).

Also, if the official does not make on his campaign promises, the people should have a right to sue them.
