Batman's physique and physical attributes.
One of the most fascinating aspects of Batman is that he's a guy that has trained himself to physical perfection. It's always intrigued me how he would appear in real life. And practicality wise what would be best.
Check out this article's point of view:
Gotham Alley: Batman's Physique
Being the ultimate athlete, the debate is usually how muscular he would or should be. The article above always seems to gravitate towards being 'a guy that's in good shape but not muscular'. Personally I think he should be more built than the above article seem to primarily define him as. There's a difference between 'good shape' and 'peak shape'. Batman represents the highest of human potential. He needs enough size to be intimidating, but still be able to move well.
His stats are according to wiki:
Weight: 210 lbs
Traditionally Bruce Wayne doesn't used steroids, so from a body composition point of view we need to look at natural body builders. My reference is a guy called Mike Matthews, author of 'Bigger, Leaner, Stronger' because he's 6'2, and has claimed is pretty much at his peak. He usually weighs in at high 180's to low 190's (so average around 190) and consistently stays around 7-8% bodyfat:
I think he's a good balance between athletic and muscular. He looks big enough that he would be imposing but could still move well. Remember the suit and cape adds more to his presence, and shoes and his cowl would collectively add at least a good few inches, making him appear well over 6'5 or so.
