Official word on the Optimist/Negatron threads form their creator...

Matt closed the Optimist Prime thread at my request. He felt that the Negatron thread was going to cause trouble with people harrassing those with negative opinions. I felt that since the Negatron was closed, we should just close the Optimist Prime one as well. No sense having one without the other.

I would however, like to propose an Optimist Prime vs. Negatron thread to take the place of them both. If anyone feels this would be a good idea, please sound off.

It sounds like a good idea, but if you combine both all you're going to have is people bashing each other's opinions and that would get old after awhile. But i say why not? Give that thread a shot and see what happens.

I agree with Sodapop, the whole point of the Optimists and the Negatrons was to keep the two seperate so it didn't clog up the other threads. As things such as plot and characters come to light there will be a lot of crap flying around like last time, it's pointless creating a thread that will become a cesspool of hate and probably lead to bannings. Where's our mod while all this is going down?

Hunter hath abandoned ye!

The Neg and Op threads were very tricky because it was hard to keep them from getting invaded by the other side. Like 2 clubs on the brink of war constantly. But in times of Bay-designs and such they did help out with the madness. I'm not sure if Hunter and Matt got together on it and decided they needed to be closed or not. I'll look into it.

Bay could never even DREAM of making a film as deep and insightful as the Chihuahua movie. It has more script and substance than ALL of Bay's movies COMBINED.

Indeed that is true. I always thought he'd drop by after the teaser was released, then again he was a Negatron and hated what Bay did to his beloved transformers so perhaps he doesn't want anything to do with the production of TF2.
