Not sure if this is the right forum (if not, move it) but I was wondering: what's the difference between sound editing and sound mixing? They sound pretty similar to me and I was wondering what the distinction is.

Sound Editing = Putting everything together
Sound Mixing = Making sure it doesn't sound like a train wreck. |

editing is the actual sound design (choice/creation of sounds) and mixing is the way in which the sound is used (volume, spacial design, panning, EQ, etc..).
