You know as much as I do think that actor is good looking, he's not nearly as good looking as I imagine Edward to be when I read the books.

I guess it's pretty impossible to find someone with that kind of perfection though...?

Yeah, I'd think so. But honestly, I'm glad they casted him. All the other actor's that the fans wanted were pretty boy all american model looking types but I just couldn't see the whole he was gorgeous but he looked dead look as well. I don't think they would've looked so hot with all the white make up on them. Pattinson has the features that you can say he is good looking but also can carry the vampire look ,too.

Eh, I never thought that actor was very good looking, personally. I think they could have done better

Hopefully his acting will make up for it?

I honestly can't think of any ''choices'' I would have for him though. That's the thing, I swear, the way I pictured Edward was almost indescribable.. It's like even I don't know how he should look. Hmm. Who would you guys have cast?

As for acting, I'm more worried about Kristen Stewart...

I'm not sure, because I don't keep up with the current teenage actors anymore...all the people I can think of are too old, and are models, not actors

I decided to google who people on other forums should have been cast as Edward, and the top choices were Gaspard Ulliel and Henry Cavill. A lot of people are complaining that the actress who plays Bella looks prettier than Edward, which of course is not what it's supposed to be like.

See, I swear I have built some magical character up in my head who literally does not exist in real life. Even those guys I'm like 'Well they are good looking but certainly no Edward!'

....Thank GOD they didn't cast Efron. I would have literally (not even kidding for once) picketed around the set in a rage

Yeah, I picture him as like, a Greek god of perfection haha. Too bad I can't draw, because I know what I want him to look like!

I think that those two actors I posted are at least better looking than the person they casted. So disappointing

I was also angry when they casted that actor as Diggory because Diggory is supposed to be really good looking as well.

Nearly all the fans wanted Gaspard and the author wanted Henry Cavill but by the time they started casting he was already in his mid 20s.

That girl you posted for Jane is in New Moon and Eclipse. I think she could play her, she has to have a sweet voice but have an evil look to her.

Robert Pattinson was choosen because of his chemistry he had with Kristen Steward in the audtion he gave.

You can have two good looking people but if they don't have good chemistry then the whole relationship will fall flat onscreen.

I guess he looked to old for the part. That and I think there was an age limit to who they could cast. I think a lot of it was under 21 for the major characters. The minors are either in their mid 20s or a tad lover. I think the oldest of the cullen kids is Jasper.

She wanted him to be Edward back when she saw The Count of Monte Cristo. He was a teenager , and I think he could have pulled off the part back then.

All in all I'm pretty happy with who they casted. I did have qualms about Rosalie but now I'm ok with it.
