People say that about every previous Batman actor... Let him do The Dark Knight Returns.

Has anyone seen the Batman & Robin: The Musical? Obviously I can't post it here because of the language but look it up on youtube. It's epic!

If there's ever an older Batman movie done a la Dark Knight Returns, it should be Michael Keaton returns!

Yes, its yet another trailer featuring the Trent Reznor version of Immigrant Song. No, it still cant redeem Batman and Robin.

And another one, giving the trailer a slightly darker tone.

See here's the thing, I don't see why people want to re-edit B&R and make it darker. It should be recognize as camp just like Adam West's Batman.

I just cant get behind a campy Batman. I've tried watching the Batman movie from 1966 and appreciate it for what it really is but I cant. A quipping Batman just doesnt work for me.

But it's not. It pretends to be cool and that an excess of bad one-liners and cheese is cool.

B66 knew what it was. B&R is just a mess of a mix.

That's exactly it. I prefer my Batman and Batman stories moody, cynical, brooding, but I don't need them to be. I really enjoy Batman Forever, and Batman & Robin wants to continue on in more or less the same tone. The problem is not that it tries to be light, campy fun, the problem is it's not any fun.

oh I disagree, I found B&R tons of fun like Batman 66. It may be unintentionally funny but it's still a enjoyable film.

To each their own, of course. I'm glad there are some people who get some enjoyment out of it, even on that "good bad movie" level. I'm not one of them.

Would you have preferred that I made a reference to the Batman Forever credit card in B&R? Never leave home without it!

So B&R wasn't trying to be funny when it included cartoon sound effects and Arnold Schwarzenegger? IT WAS ACTUALLY TRYING TO BE SERIOUS THE WHOLE TIME?

JC, to think you died for this to happen!!!

The things I enjoyed from this movie, rather than an enjoyment that isn't based on me liking it just because of how bad it is, is the soundtack and the scene where Uma Thurman stripteases, then flashes her arse

It's funny when I think about it. Seeing a semi-naked Uma Thurman didn't matter to me when I was six, it was the rest of the movie that entertained. Then a boy turns into a man and it turns into the complete opposite

At least what I said was that it tried to be "cool." And B&R/Schumacher things like cartoon sounds were "cool."

Ahnuld gives one of the greatest comedic performances of all time. And the one scene where he was talking about his wife was actually... *shock horror* decent acting by him.
