Seriously, those slippers were so badass. So freakin cheesy that they would have made Adam West and the original Mr. Freeze jealous. I saw that episode on youtube not long ago.

Haven't seen this disaster zone since the 90's and while part of me wants to hire it just to revel in its ridiculousness, i just can't go there the guilt is too much

Watched both Batman Forever and Batman & Robin today for the first time in years and I have to say, I honestly think B&R is the better of the two, though both pretty bad all the same.
The over acting/bad acting in BF just grates on me so much. With Clooney, I don't think he did much wrong, the role is just terrible. He has basically nothing to do as Bruce Wayne. I actually think if Clooney was in BF, he would have done a superior job to Kilmer (who IMO is by far the worst Wayne to date).

The movie is fun to watch but after the first 10 minutes of all-out action you get already tired and just shut it off.

That really was a bad, bad movie. The only good things I can say about it are Alfred and Poison Ivy.
However... the problem is that this movie was part of a tetralogy that wanted to be taken serious. But imagine the same movie, not being titled "Batman and Robin", but instead "Batman - The Parody"... change nothing except the title to make it clear that this is a fun movie... and that bad, bad movie would be great! |

The movie is a masterpiece, nuff said.
Also there's already a thread about it. http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=296837

I still don't understand how we haven't gotten a proper score album. I was watching this the other day and realized that a lot of the musical cues are really interesting. Not all of it was blatantly recycled from BF as I had wrongly remembered. So it's a shame.

Hopefully La La Land Records can release it... WB have seemingly given them full access to their DC library. And with more B:TAS and DC animated releases in the pipe-line, they've released almost everything but Batman & Robin.

Yeah, I would like to have it as well. Can't really comment on the whole score, but for my money the opening Goldenthal Batman theme is better in B&R in comparison to BF, with more choir and such.

The basic march theme of Goldenthal is still a great piece of Batman music. On another note - I remember as a a kid buying colouring books for Batman & Robin, and what I loved about them was that they were drawn in the style of B:TAS (which I was obsessed with, hence buying colouring books at 12 years old). Does anyone know if there are any scans online of these drawings? They looked great - a vast improvement over the actual movie. Closest I could find -

It's a shame that George Clooney never got a chance to become a great Batman. George Clooney could've been great Batman if given the right script.
But I will say this. I will watch rather this movie over Adam West movie any day.
