Poison Ivy was one of the least offensive aspects of this entire movie.

Joel told Uma to have a ball and choke on some scenery... so she did. That doesn't mean she was miscast.

The bulk of the film was far too campy; I didn't really take Poison Ivy, Bane, or Clooney's version of Batman seriously at all. Freeze had a really good backstory, even though some of the ice-related puns were lame.

I really enjoyed the screen chemistry between Chris & Alicia; she made a great Batgirl. I was a little disappointed they severed her relationship to Gordon, but I understand why. Her fight with Ivy was way too short, but had some cool moves.

Michael Gough was great as always, and his scenes with Clooney were the only moments in the film where I really enjoyed the latter's performance. One of the film's most powerful lines is in that moment...

"I've spent my life trying to beat back death...but I can't, can I?"

On the whole, I don't blame Schumacher nearly as much as WB, but I do wish all involved had waited for Kilmer. Bane wasn't even needed for the film, and I still want a version of Ivy that's more in line with the 1990s animated series.

It's certainly reaching the so-bad-it's-good level, but for my life Schwarzenegger and Thurman's performances must be THE worst and most annoying ones I've ever witnessed.

I think Schwarzenegger's main problem was having too many ice-related jokes. Most of them were funny, but some weren't needed for the story to work. I like Mr. Freeze's story, because its not "I'm evil and I love it". Beneath all the hate and loneliness is a well-meaning scientist and loving husband, who simply wants to cure his wife of a terrible disease.

The delivery on most of the dialogue is ridiculous.

Batman Forever was guilty of this too, but B&R just took it to a whole other level.

Don't you go around slamming "Batman Forever", now. That's my favorite of the original bunch.

Batman Forever suffered a little too much from an identity crisis for me... therefore I simply can't rank it above the Burton films, as fun as it may be in parts.

It's still my least favorite Bat film because it was flip flopping over being serious and campy, but I still enjoyed it.

Sadly, both sides of the character were absolutely apart and just glued together because of the script. When Freeze is being a clown, he's just that, not a trace of his tormented soul is there to be felt. Arnie just acted two different things (badly) but both not part of the same character.

I'm not slamming it, I love BF, but you can't deny that it had some rather questionable dialogue.

That, a terrible clowny two-face and some scenes that were embarrassing, like Batman and Chase on the rooftop.

LOL @ how Clooney cannot act without doing that funny pointless head-shaking. It's like in every gif there.

Ha, I always thought Clooney was the easiest to recognize under the mask, partly due to his damn head.

Poor bobblehead George.

Not a bad Bruce Wayne, but he looked so uncomfortable as Batman.

Clooney's head bobbling came off like he was annoyed by something. Knowing that film it could be any number of reasons he might seem irritated.
