Batman & Robin is, visually, an extraordinary film. It's clear that Schuamcher isn't really intrested in dialogue, and indeed this is a film that can easily be understood with the sound off. Better that way as you can avoid the lame one-liners, and concentrate on a steady stream of arresting images. I'm watching it now and there is so much detail and atmosphere to every shot, it's extremely impressive. If you've seen Ridley Scott's Legend, which is absolutely stunning to look at, B&R is almost comperable to that.

He did. That's where the Freeze characterisation comes from.

Indeed, he even says it on the DVD commentary. He reccommends watching it if you haven't saying the series is great.

I would NEVER compare B&R to Legend OMG!! I mean I dont HATE B&R like most but its nowhere near Legend visually, or creatively.

LOL-! Somewhat hysterical.

Anyway, I said, "almost comparable".

Even the critics said that this film was a consistently dazzling, ingenious and breathtaking FEAST FOR THE EYES. It's the rest of the senses and organs that suffered...

Personally, I still enjoy the film to this day...So what- shoot me.

It's the most entertaining Batman film so far right behind Batman: The Movie 1966.

I hated it so much when it came out. I think i was 18 that year... shoo... my brother and I came back so angry at what we had just seen. Now, of course, I love the movie and pop it in for a complete laugh.

The last time I saw it was about a month ago. I was able to tolerate it because I was on my elliptical throughout the entire movie and because it was the first time in 10+ years watching it. I thought the movie was fun until the party scene where Batman and Robin are poisoned when they donate the diamond. That scene was unbearable as well as the final battle.

I saw it at the movies when I was 8 because my step brother wanted to see it. He was 4 at the time. Even back then I thought it was extremely boring. I got into Batman because of Batman Returns and the Animated Series, it was the opposite of the Batman I knew and grew up with.

Yeah, the Bat-visa card, and that fight with Batman trapped by vines, Robin in that pool (with that infamous onwards-backwards shot) and Batgirl throwing jokes about modern women... it takes a whole lot more than just "not taking it seriously."

Drinking game for B&R? Get hammered before inserting the DVD in the DVD player.

BF is the lesser of the two evils, but I can't be bothered watching them even just to point and laugh. I can't muster the energy even for that.

Batman Forever is my least favorite batman film (though I still enjoyed it) because it didn't know if it wanted to be taken seriously like the Burton films (aka Bruce's past in the film) or make it campy as hell like Batman & Robin or Adam West's Batman (aka Two-Face, Riddler in the film).

The schizophrenic tone is one of my biggest problems with Batman Forever as well.

Well I kind of like Arnold as Mr Freeze and Uma as Poison Ivy. If the movie was less campy, they would have been much better.

Batman Forever is pure pop art. 1995 style. That's why I like it.
