Marvel Character Versus

Hey everyone, I noticed there's only one limited to Marvel versus and that was shut down...So, I'll attempt to start one up. Hopefully the fights will still be fun. Be sure to read the rules!

First up:


The fight will take place in a 2 floor indoor shopping mall (unpopluated). Both teams start at opposing ends. Due to Sabretooth/Wolverines enhanced senses, Cyc/Cap are aware of who they are facing, but not given any prep. Can these 2 great strategists and leaders take down these two deadly characters? Wolverine has adamantium, Sabretooth does not. Cyclops is not allowed to remove his visor. Enjoy!

As much as I love Cap/Cyc...I think Sabe/Wolv would take the small majority here. Both teams have access to an entire mall...They're going to have stealth on their side. I'd say they'd take it maybe 5.5/10

I was hoping someone would include that...I think they'd refuse to help one another, but wouldn't try to get the other one killed, just for the sake of making it out of this fight alive. They've been forced to work together in the past, this will be just like the others is my guess.

Because Cap can take both Wolvie and Sabertooth, and with Cyclops shooting them out in the background it's an easy win.

I don't know about that much....From debating in the Marvel forums, the majority believe Wolverine can actually solo Cap. I believe it's 50/50, but most people seem to think otherwise. Plus, like I said, this is an indoor shopping mall. I doubt the team will just charge them in the open. They'll most likely encounter Cyc close range, or try to.

Figured what they hell I would register. I would say that this match goes to the two strategists due to their ability to outsmart the raging twins. Also how Sabretooth and Wolverine might not behave and get along in the fight making it much more difficult for them to win.

Here's a match that never really ended over on the Marvel forums...
Punisher VS Spider-Man(current)

Rules:

Spider-Man only has 1 extra web shooter cartridge, and obviously two already equipped. Punisher starts off with a machine gun with 500 rounds, a pistol with 4 clips, and a grenade. They're facing off in a completely unpopulated NYC. The city is completely devoid of people, but all of the cars and so forth still remain. They will start 2 blocks away from each other. Punisher's van with additional advanced weaponry is located 4 blocks behind his starting point. The entire city is their arena. They can go inside any building, sewer, rooftop, etc. So, who wins in this fight? Win can be via KO or death.

I've always been mixed on this one, given the rules. Right now I'm 50/50, I'll vote at the end.

Spider-man wins only due to his spider-sense. He is also going to use his physical ability to defeat Punisher. When it comes down to a fight and an altercation Punisher won't be able to hit Spidy. The Punisher can use his guns to try and shot Spider-man but he can likely dodge most of the gun shots.

I think Spider-Man wins a 7/10 but Punisher is able to do the job and get things done if he needs to. Spider for the majority

Good points. I just wish there was proper continuity with Punisher and his aim. In his earlier appearances, he shot Spider-Man with ease, claiming he can predict his movements. In the later arc's, it appeared Spidey was just annoying Pun and Pun wanted to just get him to go away. Given the settings, I'm actually giving Punisher a very small advantage. I think he'd take to the sewers right away, this great decreases Spidey's advantage of speed and agility. From there, he can work his way to his van.

Thing is does Spider-man know where Punisher's van is too? He has faced Frank in the past and knows about him so couldn't spidy get to the van first and either use his weapons (very out of his character) or maybe destroy them before Punisher can get to them
