That music is really lame.

Yes the music was a tad on the pathetic and cheap side.

I thought the clip was excellent. Loved Downy's expression after he was flying. He looked scared and thrilled at the same time.

Don't worry it can not be figured out just from that clip. But it is Jarvis, who is his butler in the comics, but he is like a super computer in the movie.

I agree the music does sound "childish". And that flying sequence rocks, Superman's got nothing on Iron Man.

Awesome clip.

Wow, there's a lot of whining and *****ing about the music score, "oh the music sucks", "oh the music is pathetic" wa wa wa, geez this isn't Star Wars or some other movie where you need a full on orchestra.

i'll be the first to admit that i'm not a big iron man fan, but that clip was pretty cool. but jarvis reminded me alot of kitt from knight rider. another post said that jarvis is a butler in the comics but a super computer in the movie? so the suit doesn't usually talk to tony?

I don't see a problem with Iron Man's score having a distinctly rockish flair to it.
Not every film needs to have a majestic John-Williams-esque sound.

Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:

From the book - Jarvis(in the movie) is Starks A.I. that he mainly uses to run his "smart" mansion in L.A., but he can be transfered to the armor's HUD system to give Tony a better user command of the armor's onboard computer. JARVIS stands for Just A Really Very Intelligent System. Basically it's the best user interface Stark has so far, and that's why he uses it in the armor. Apparently we're not yet to the fully cybernetic-interface controlled armor, even the Mark III.

I absolutely hate the music and I don't think it fits for a sophisticated playboy like Tony Stark, nor does it capture any tonality worth noting.

Iron Man has never been a "bright" or "upbeat" character. At best, he's been cynically optimistic.

The composer, whatever his name is, whose credits included "fantastic" shows like Prison Break, Blade: The Series, and Blade: Trinity (yeah, right...), really dropped the ball.

I feel like I'm listening to the music of a car commercial. Superhero films need to have fitting scores, moving scores that capture the awe of their journey.

Also, Tony Stark -- forty-years old -- acting like a 5 year-old boy is a little annoying and has taken part in now 2 clips, of him saying "wooahhh, wahhh, oh awesome!"

Ugh, such a pity that this movie will only be watchable on mute.

I was a little hesitant when I first heard the score was going to be rock-influenced, but it sounds pretty good in this clip.

Do you know anything about Stark? Have you ever read any of the earlier comics?
