Ok, I have had a question that has been bugging the f*** out of me for the longest. I am not talking about exclusive rights to a newer movie, but I am talking about older movies and their showings on specific networks. Let's use an example: Die Hard With a Vengeance. I've seen this film shown on AMC, Bravo, Spike, A&E, and (as I am typing this) TNT. Now, I know that A&E partly owned by NBC/Universal, so since Bravo is apart of the NBC/Universal networks, I understand how that works. However, how is it showing on TNT (owned by Turner Broadcasting, a division of Time Warner), AMC, and Spike (apart of the MTV networks owned by Viacom)?
Can older movies just be shown on any random network? After "exclusive rights" end for a certain movie to be shown, can it just pop up on any random channel?
