Woot! I got "chosen" - I'm stoked! I was at the NYCC and was randomly handed a weird little sewing kit and a fake tattoo. Neither of them had any sort of "advertising" on them, but they were both covered in code, and I recognized the tattoo as looking similar to the one on Angelina Jolie's arm on the poster for "Wanted". Plus, the sewing kit says "TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR DESTINY" on it, which is similar to the first teaser they did for the movie.
Well, the only directions on either of them (other than the standard "here's how to apply a fake tattoo" stuff) is a web address, www.FraternityofWeavers.com. I check it out, and it's this creepy site about the history of weaving, and the ancient society of weavers and whatnot. BUT - several of the pages have the same code as the tattoo. I'm sure this is for the movie, because the site is also a hidden link on the main movie's website, with the same "bee" logo that's on my fake tattoo. I'm not sure what to do next though! Any ideas?!? |

I thought so, too - I'd heard about other people getting "chosen" for other ARGs, like the Dark Knight one that started at the San Diego con last year; I also heard a rumor that there was one for Cloverfield, but I don't know anything about it. I'd never been "chosen" for one, though, so I was excited to get into this one.
As for the game so far, I got a little farther - I realized that the "code" I mentioned is actually BINARY code (hence the ones and zeroes). I used a binary code translator, and when it was all put together, it gave me what turned out to be the six passwords the site asks for: "every life hangs by a thread". Put those in, and it'll open this "secret bible" thing, that talks all about the secret society; however, it seems to be incomplete?!? I'm guessing figuring out where the missing pages are is the next part of the puzzle - but I'm stumped so far. I don't know what to do next, but it IS extremely cool!

You should e-mail this in to the main site. (Superherohype). I'm sure they'd make others aware. It seems to be very interesting.

Good idea - as soon as I can find the right address to send the info to, I'll e-mail it over. I also went ahead and did a scan of the sewing kit and the fake tattoo as well to send over to them, since they're sitting here on my desk anyways (the metal thing was in the sewing kit, but was shaking around loose, so I threw it in the scan too when I opened the kit).

I think i figured it out if you haven't already. you will see a sequence of ones and zeros at the top of the pages on that site. thats binary code you can find places on the internet to dicipher it into words ex. http://www.roubaixinteractive.com/Pl...ry_To_Text.asp
I think the secret words are what the binary code translates to |

But I'm still stuck. I'm guessing those blank pages are where they'll "release" the next clue when it gets closer to the movie's release date ("Wanted" doesn't hit until June 27th, so they've still got plenty of time). Unless maybe the next clue has something to do with that picture of the gun on the last page of the bible? I don't remember seeing that the first time I looked through the bible thing, but I'm not positive.

What about the fact that "ASSASSIN MODE" is in all caps in the bible? It seems they may be trying to point something out but I don't know what... Closing the books and checking out all the "links" pages led me nowhere... Searching "assassin mode" in google didn't bring up anything either

Or, is there anything else that's capitalized, either in the bible or on the main website? Maybe even in the page code itself? I'll have to check and see if I find anything... |
