You're right Havok, achievements should have stayed in those games, but they were all fairly weak efforts at multiplatform titles anyway, especially F.E.A.R.

I'd like all PS3 games to get trophies so I culd show off to my friends and have reason to go back and play older games, but end of the day, I'm just satisfied its finally happening.

Maybe MGS4's launch day surprise is being the first PS3 game to feature the in game XMB and extended trophies list.

Well, if that is the case, the 18th will be a huge date i´m sure, not only for PS3 owners, but for 360 as well.
Microsoft announced some changes starting this month (drm policy change being one of them), so, for both consoles, the 18th can´t get here soon enough.

1) I THINK IT COULD BE RELEASED ON THE TWELFTH AND HERE'S WHY, MGS4 COMES OUT THAT DAY, SECONDLY THE PSN STORE IS UPDATED ON THAT SAME DAY(JUNE 12 IS A THURSDAY), IT CAN'T POSSIBLY BE A COINCIDENCE THAT ALL OF THIS WOULD HAPPEN ON THE SAME DAY, WHICH IS WHY I THINK SONY'S PLANING TO RELEASE THE UPDATE THAT DAY ALONG WITH MAYBE SOME OTHER GOODIES, MY GUESS IS THEY HAD THIS PLANED!!!

While not perfect, Im glad Sony included an internet browser with the system. Its saved me the times, I was without my PC and sometimes its easier to just download media, themes, wallpapers directly from there as it automatically gets placed in the system

YEAH I MEAN IT MAKES SENSE TO ME FOR THE UPDATE TO COME OUT EITHER BEFORE OR WITH MGS4!!! MY GUESS WOULD BE BEFORE, JUST IN CASE THERE'S SOME SNAFU AND THEY HAVE TO FIX IT, THAT WAY THEY HAVE A FEW DAYS BEFORE MGS4 COMES OUT!!!

Took me about 20 minutes to download it. I wanted to play Metal Gear Solid 4...

Well you have to take that first step. Atleast 2.36 is out of the way no matter how minor and we're one step closer to 2.4 . However my guess is atleast 1 month until the next patch, if it was just a week away they probably would just have bundled it together as one patch. Unless 2.4 is a collosal sized patch and they don't want everyone waiting forever to dl it.

Sounds likely then. My guess is they announce it at E3, show how it works on the big screen, then announce it'll be out soon. They'll probably launch it a week after E3, I kinda doubt they'd release it during E3 and are probably saving it til after so it's a 'surprise' announcement. Then they'll probably top off their presentation with talk of Home being near completion.

I just want to hear the release dates of some of the bigger games. I wanna know when SF4, FFXIII, and several other TBA games are finally getting a solid date.

It's apparently a giant MGS database availble for download from the PSN today. I haven't checked the EU store yet, but I'm betting that only America has got it now, and we'll get ****ed over, and will have to wait longer for it...Go to the MGS4 thread for more details.
