No commentary. BOOO!!!! Other stuff. YAY!!!!

Then again I don't think they've announced all the extra features, so I'm still holding out for commentary.

some images i found from Play.co.uk and HMV
(for anyone interested in the region 2 of it or some more potential artwork)

HMV Exclusive head case
(they did plastic shape cases for Transformers too but I thought they were a bit crap - but this one is pretty good I reckon)

Two Disc Collector's Edition from Play.co.uk (not exclusive)

One Disc edition

I'm stuck between the HMV and normal 2 Disc editions - what do you guys think?

oh lord not a head case! what with the simpsons and the cybermen head cases they get so cumbersome. I will say that one is lean but give me the normal one

Favreau said in an interview he gave shortly after Iron Man was released that he was recording a commentary track for the Iron Man dvd. Its on the regular Superherohype website somewhere.

I hope its on there then. I think a Favreau/Downey Jr. commentary would be comedy gold.

Paramount will be releasing Iron Man on both DVD and Blu-ray disc on 9/30.

And DVD Active's announcement hasn't posted a list of finalized extras for either the single-disc and 2-disc editions, and I'm pretty positive that a commentary will be included. I hope that both DVD editions will be available only in widescreen... no more of this foolscreen stuff the studios keep issuing out.

And I pray that no gray disc artwork for Iron Man. Paramount's been doing that lately for their recent DVD releases (save for the Indy re-releases), and it'd smack of laziness on Paramount's part.

Iron Man Soars onto Blu-ray; Full Details and Cover Art
August 08, 2008

Paramount Home Entertainment has finally unwrapped the details to Iron Man's Blu-ray arrival previously confirmed for September 30.

Iron Man will be presented as an Ultimate Edition two-disc set on Blu-ray in widescreen 1080p video and 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio.

Blu-ray owners will benefit from several supplemental features that won't be found on the single or two-disc DVD sets. "Hall of Armor" will let reviewers zoon in on and study the three Iron Man suits or Iron Monger, then activate a 3-D weapons schematic to see what each suit is packing in terms of firepower.

Also exclusive to Blu-ray is Iron Man IQ, a BD-Live feature allowing viewers to create their own custom multiple-choice questions based on clips from the film and then share them as a working test with friends online.

The full list of over four-hours of bonus features is as follows, most of which is presented in HD.

Disc 1:

* Hall of Armor (Blu-ray exclusive)
* The Invincible Iron Man (HD)
o Origins
o Friends & Foes
o The Definitive Iron Man
o Demon in a Bottle
o Extremis and Beyond
o Ultimate Iron Man
* Deleted/Extended Scenes (HD)
* BD Live: Iron Man IQ (Blu-ray exclusive)

Disc 2:

* I Am Iron Man (HD)
o The Journey Begins
o The Suit that makes the Iron Man
o The Walk of Destruction
o Grounded In Reality
o Beneath the Armor
o It's All in the Details
o A Good Story, Well Told
* Wired: The Visual Effects of Iron Man (HD)
* Robert Downey Jr. Screen Test (HD)
* The Actor’s Process (scene rehearsal with cast) (HD)
* The Onion "Wildly Popular Iron Man Trailer to be Adapted into Full Length Film" (HD)
* Theatrical Trailers (HD)
* Image Galleries

Iron Man: Ultimate Edition will carry an SRP of $39.99.

The DVD cover art is insanely cool. And I can't wait to check out the screen test that Robert Downey Jr. did.

Eh, I'm not impressive with the dvd cover art (I realize I never am when it comes to a Superhero film) but I'll be getting the movie nonetheless.

DVD Active confirms that both DVD editions will be available only in widescreen... thank God. I pray WHV will do the same for The Dark Knight.

And the single-disc uses the one-sheet artwork... a must for me!
