No i wasn't trying to knock the quality of the film I'm just saying a HUGE part of its audience came from Johnny Depp fans who probably wouldn't have seen that film if he wasnt in it. It was probabbly an excellent film regardless

I think Johnny Depp would be cool but i can also see Jim Caviezel plating him, if they do do a film i would be over the moon and if they cast either of them i would love it.

I like Depp or Oldman for ANY role... They would both be great for Strange... but Caviezel is my first choice.

Voted for Depp.

Quirky and strange characters are his forte so a character called 'Doctor Strange' seems almost perfect and fated.

Before his star went astronomical with Jack Sparrow, Depp had carved out a nice little niche for himself as a versatile character actor known for picking non-comercial projects that interested him.

I think a lot of people have forgotten that because of the over saturation caused by POTC's 1,2 and 3.

I perosnally think Depp would be awesome in this role - and his known wouldnt look out of place alongside Norton and Downey Jnr etc.

Not to mention the fact that the guy was seemingly born with the perfect facial hair for Strange.

I do think Depp would be amazing as Dr Strange but i do love the Idea Of Viggo Mortensen playing him, he is a very versatile actor and so is Johnny Depp, either of them get it i would mine, also Jim Caviezel and Daniel Day Lewis would be awesome

If the gossip is true, then Marvel is going to lose out on Depp being casted in the next Batman flick. If that happens, Marvel won't pursue Depp after being associated with DC.

Interesting choices up there. I chose Daniel day lewis which normally i would never do because i think franchise and he does one movie and done however your only getting one Dr. strange movie you might as well make it a crazy good one with psycho method actor!

With the casting rumours of Depp as the Riddler heating up; I'm gonna have to settle for my number 2 pic- David Wenham.

Say what you want about the turd that was 'Van Helsing'; but for me it was the movie that demonstrated Wenhams versatility as a character actor. His Carl counldnt have been more different from his Faramir; the mannerisms, voice - everything. Funnilly enough, it was a 'quirky' performance worthy of Depp.

It's good to see I'm not the only one on these boards to think he'd be a good fit for the role.

However, should the Depp/Riddler rumours prove unfounded............................
