Re: TMP Ironman costume.

The movie consist of 90% CGI animations. The real costumes were not made for Downy Jr. It was made for stuntmen 6.2 tall with a 31 inch waistline. Imagine Tony stark looking that tall and slim. It whould look wierd. Downy jr is 5.8 tall and only wore the armor partially down to the knee. The rest he never wore because it was to big for him. (Joints) also the movie costume is made of allot of rubber components. In real life that whould look like a toy. But with CGI ... Of course it will look good, but we made an armor to real people up to size 6.4 tall. If a person 6.3 tall with waistline arround 33 inch then this whould look FANTASTIC. The photos are of me with a 38 waistline. Of course it will not look the same.

NEW 2009 SCULPT OF THE TMP IRONMAN Wearable Armor or Lifesize Display. The hard work on the new generation 3 armor sculpt of TMP Ironman is comming to an end. But first here are the photos of the new sculpt. ![]() ![]() ![]() ARMOR DETAILS: The armor will be mainly constructed from Solid glassfiber work with rich details all over. The armor will come finished painted either in the original mark 3 colours or custom paint colors wanted. The difference with this suit vs previouse is that this was not focused on a wide sizerange specter. This was sculpted to look like the original and size whould follow the sculpt not the other way arround. This ressults in the suit will fitt a smaller group of people. Estimate size can be up to 6.4 tall. Ideal size is arround 6 feet and arround 30-34 Waist size. Max waist size 38 inches.

Your work is beautiful. You are beyond talented. I'm surprised Winston Studios hasn't offered you a job. I think all of us would love to own one of your armors. Even if I could buy one(I actually can but I can't convince myself to spend that much money on something like this...... but I wish..), I don't think it would fit because my build isn't average(6'1/2 220lbs, 52-54" chest, 34" waist, 18" arms, etc).
I would love to see you put your creativity towards designing IM armors taken directly from the comics. I think you could make excellent versions of the Golden Age armor, the Modular armor, and the War Machine armor. |
