the big event going down on July 8th is taking place at Thomas Paine Park in NYC, a few blocks from City Hall (there's another gathering going on near the Sears Tower in Chicago as well). and according to the countdown clock, it starts at 10 PM EST that day. of course, no one really knows what's planned for that night, but it wouldn't be much of a surprise if we did, now would it?

I'll be going as well. I'm going to try to figure out what trains to take from Penn Station. I was a little worried about traveling home so late at night, but since it seems I'm not the only one who will have to end up back at Penn, maybe we can all travel there in a group? Batman can't be everywhere, and I don't want to get mugged XD

Oh and I think we'll be heading there early as well, I want to be there around 8 I guess, so it will still be a bit light.

I was also going to go right after work and get there early

From the Penn Station I think you would take the number 2 train toward Brooklyn College and get off on Chambers Street

haha yeah, I was thinking about taking the train and then realized that if this thing runs late, i'd be stuck in the City.

Though i'm thinking about trying to pull off a philly roadtrip because lots of people in a car throwing down a little gas money goes a long way.

Guys, it's New York City, not the wild West. And the location is downtown....near the courthouse and City Hall. Everyone calm down with the mugging worries and such.

We can meet up when it's light, and then hang for a bit, grab a bite, maybe.

Being a Brooklyn Boy, I'll be there with Citizen's for Batman pin, Cape and Cowl on! (Good thing I kept it from my costume eh?)

i was at the Madison Square Garden stop. i was the guy with the black hoodie with the oval Batman logo on the front and holding the camcorder. and yes, i'll be bringing my camcorder again to capture the festivities.

But yeah, I think it will be nice for everyone to meet up before hand. We can speculate, discuss the awesomeness...get prepared. All of it.

Thankfully I wont have to lug a bag of red, white, and black makeup with me this time too XD
