The Tomb of Dracula Omnibus is heavenly. I still need to get vol. 2 though. It's killing me that I don't already have it. I love that series.

What are those Raymond Chandler books? What are they? Who writes and draws them and how are they? I have the adaptation of his Philip Marlowe novel "The Little Sister" by Michael Lark, which is really good.

Crimson,

Raymond Chandler books are:

PLAYBACK, a wonderful B&W adaptation of Chandler's last novel. The novel featured Marlowe but the graphic novel is based on a screenplay WHICH HAS THE SAME PLOT AS CHANDLER'S NOVEL BUT DOES NOT FEATURE MARLOWE... It was to be a movie in the 40's but was locked away in a vault and was not discovered until after Chandler's death. IT WAS NEVER MADE INTO A FILM, but the graphic novel was adapted from the screenplay. If you like B&W Crime stories and B&W films THIS IS FOR YOU! PRETTY GOOD... 3.5 out of 5 stars! THIS BOOK IS VERY RARE & NOT MANY PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT IT! my copy is a library copy... ONLY AVAILABLE IN HC.

Raymond Chandler's Marlowe: The Graphic Novel, A Trilogy of Crime is a series of 3 stories in 1 book (2 B&W art, 1 color ART)

This adapts Chandler's stories: GOLDFISH, TROUBLE IS MY BUSINESS, THE PENCIL.
GOLDFISH is in color with Bruce Tim/Darwyn Cooke style art by Rian Hughes.
Better than Lark's LITTLE SISTER adaptation. 5 out of 5 stars... Buy this if you are a MARLOWE fan. Great stuff. Softcover

Oh yeah it's the 1989 movie adaptation written by Denny O'Neil and art by Jerry Ordway doing an impeccable job of capturing the actors' likeness, it's from an early draft so there are some differences to the actual movie.

You guys have so many comics. I only buy TPB/HC's and they've gotten quite pricey, well for my budget anyways. I'll go ahead and list the ones I own.
Captain America: Civil War (TPB)
Darth Maul (TPB)
Green Lantern:Rebirth
Deadpool Classics, Volume 1 (TPB)
Deadpool Volume 1: Secret Invasion (HC)
Deadpool Volume 2: Dark Reign (HC)
Deadpool Volume 3: X Marks The Spot (HC)
Deadpool: Suicide Kings (HC)
Deadpool/Thunderbolts: Dark Reign (TPB)
Iron Man: Extremis (TPB)
Iron Man: Hypervelocity (TPB)
Iron Man: Civil War (TPB)
New Avengers Volume 1 (HC)
Nova: Annihilation Conquest (TPB)
Spiderman: Birth of Venom (TPB)
Ultimate Spiderman: Venom (HC)
Venom Vs Carnage (TPB)
Venom: Dark Origin (TPB)
Wolverine Volume 1: Born In Blood (TPB)

I've been wanting to get some more GL, but I've been so into Deadpool atm and been trying to get a bunch of his comics. I want to get Deadpool vs the Marvel Universe next. I haven't been really collecting comics I guess though. I'm kinda picky about Comics, if the art sucks then I won't even bother most of the time. My bro also gets comics, mainly Batman. So I just read them when he gets them.

Walking Dead: Vol. 1 to 10
100 Bullets: Vol. 1 to 3
Scalped: Vol. 1 to 3
Bone: Vol. 1 to 9
- Bone: Rose
- Bone: Stupid Rat Tales
Sandman: Vol. 1 to 10
- Death (Sandman Spin-off)
Y: The Last Man: Vol. 1 (Going to buy more)
Batman: The Killing Joke
Death of Superman
Kingdom Come
Watchmen
Maus I & II
Perry Bible Fellowship (FUNNY STUFF!!)

Suprised to see ppl putting up such huge collection but not having Watchmen among them. I mean that book is pretty much the bible amongst graphic novels.

Go to comic book conventions and you can find some real gems on TPB's for half off cover price if you look hard enough.

I have about 5-6 long boxes of trades, yeah it's alot but I only get like 10-12 titles of single issues a month since I decided to cut back on my pull list and wait for trades instead. The shop I go to has a 1/2 off used shelf it turn into $5 trades when he has sales every month.(ebay is awesome too)

Ready for this long list?!!!

Y The Last Man: Unmanned
Y The Last Man: Cycles
Mouse Guard: Fall 1152
Invincible: Family Matters
X-Men: Rarities

Aaaaaand that's it. I have a couple of them tiny ones that's basically just comics with harder covers, but I dont count them as trades. I used to have more, but these days I like to bind my comis into hardbak volumes so I don't buy many trades. But my hardback volumes... I have 19, with about 30 more coming soon.

Only $15/volume (plus shipping).

So if you have the issues already then it's not bad. Especially due to the fact that you can usually get between 25-30 issues in one volume before you lose too much art or any wording in the spine. More if they're 90's or older.

So it's not too far from just buying a trade paper back or a hardcover. Cheaper at times. Plus, you get the free reign of doing it however you like. For example, some of those volumes I'm sending out are New Avengers based, but tie in things in readable order such as Secret War, House of M, Mighty Avengers, Thunderbolts, etc. all the way up to Secret Invasion.

And things like Secret Invasion and Civil War I've included tons of issues cut up so that the story runs page by page chronologically, not issue by issue. For example... it starts with Civil War 1 up until the Stamford incident. Then as soon as the explosion happens the next page you turn is from Wolverine. it has Wolvey in a bar drinking and sees the Explosion on the television and gets up to leave. The next page has is from Civil War again with everyone at the scene of the crime. The story continues on like that going back and forth chronologically and including most issues of Civil War, Fantastic Four, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Frontline, Young Avengers/Runaways, etc.

It gives you the total freedom of doing what you want without the constraint of getting trades however Marvel or whoever wants to do them.

Well worth the 15-30 dollars per volume.
