Default Heath Ledger's Joker Journal

Heath Ledger stated he kept a journal for is role as the Joker filled with things to help him get ready for the role. Do you think they will publish this journal after the movie releases ?? Any thoughts?

There were rumors a while ago that they would, but now, I highly doubt it.
I would definately buy it if it was mass-produced though.

I'm not trying to be sick about it but when you think about it you always wondering what's the joker thinking and this would be the closest look into it.

That would be amazing if they mass produced it. I would kill to see what the Joker is thinking.

I dunno, Otto published Anne Frank's diary after her death in the Holocaust; it'll probably be up to family, but who knows. I'd figure they would do some sort of publications of his journal as a memoir or something to honor some of his last thou-.....................WAIT A MINUTE!!!!!

Curiosity, just after Ledger's death was his journal found anywhere in his apartment? Was it confiscated as evidence or anything?

Well, Kurt Cobain's diary was published and he purposely killed himself. I don't find it in any way disrespectful to Heath and the money could go towards his family.

Exactly, it could especially go to dear Matilda; I'm just severly curious, where are the where abouts of his journal now?

I hate to be nosey about it, kinda makes me feel terrible; I'm just curious if he kept anything personal in his journal besides his thoughts/ideas/ect. to influence his interpretation of Joker.

From what I read around the journal was really messed up. Getting it released now would probably give some BS media coverage, linking the journal to his death or something stupid. Or judging him off the things in the journal, even though it's just for a role.

I say give it some time. I am curious what exactly is in the journal though.

Yeah, it would probably cause some sort of overblown controversy.

"It's so dark! This proves he killed himself because of the Joker!"

Although it could be interesting, since the book was just notes, I would imagine they would have made more sense to Heath than it would any of us. I think a lot of people are thinking they're going to see something that the Joker himself would have written, like it was ripped directly from the pages of Morrison's Arkham Asylum or one of the virals. It probably wouldn't be very interesting to anyone but him.

Finnally found a little bit of what I was looking for.

Quote:
An open bag with clothes spilling out lay on the floor of the master bedroom. “I’m kind of addicted to moving,” Mr. Ledger said, perhaps on account of having had to shuttle back and forth after his parents’ divorce, when he was 11. He carries his interests around with him, and his kitchen table was awash in objects: a chess set, assorted books, various empty glasses, items of clothing. Here too was his Joker diary, which he began compiling four months before filming began. It is filled with images and thoughts helpful to the Joker back story, like a list of things the Joker would find funny. (AIDS is one of them.) Mr. Ledger seemed almost embarrassed that the book had been spotted, as if he had been caught trying to get extra credit in school.

That one little thing about AIDs could turn into a media uproar. And I'm sure there is worse in the journal.

Wow... if it isn't reproduced and released- if there's only one copy- that would be like the holy grail for Batman fans. I mean, I could see a wealthy fan paying millions for something like this.

I'd love to see how Heath went about preparing for this, even if it's just one page.
It would be the best page I'll ever read.

It was Heath's private journal. As cool as it would be to read, I would be pretty dissapointed if it was released, it wouldn't be very respectful.

It wasn't exactly HIS journal, It was his characters journal. Any personal information could be edited out.

Seems to me like he got that list of things The Joker finds funny from Grant Morrison's underrated prose story, "The Clown At Midnight". As well as AIDS, other things on The Joker's list of things he finds funny in that story include genuises with irreversible brain damage, beloved family pets in bad road accidents, and BRUNCH!

I bet someone will get a copy of this and leak it all over the InterWeb, only to turn out to be fake.
