Mysterious New Cryptid

I posted a brief slide show for a strange creature I found while taking a picture in North Carolina two years ago. I can't quite figure out with this is and I could use a few second opinions in order to understand what this is. I have the link post below on YouTube.

That's a slide show? A still and a close up? Bah. And that picture is old as heck anyhow. You didn't take that picture

It's such a relief to finally have a place where I feel safe sharing this....it's been a burden that I've been carrying around for some time.

About a year ago, my girlfriend and I were out hiking and bird watching, on the Olympic peninsula.
I brought a camera so we could take some pictures of some of the wildlife.
So we were enjoying ourselves, we stopped and had some lunch, and kept going deeper into the forest, when suddenly in a clearing, I heard a rustling noise really close to me that freaked me out.

My girlfriend screamed, and I turned around, and reflexively took a picture, and we have never been able to find anyone who has any idea what it was that was standing there behind me. If anyone has seen anything like this before, or if you have any info, please email me.
I'm going to put the picture in spoilers because it's pretty big.
