Armando Hernandez was ready. His building and the surrounding neighborhood was armed to the teeth. Men with guns were stationed in and around his compound. The best arms available on any market. His men were some of the worst to be found in Harlem...meaning they were the best. Killers all.


He was the last Big Connection around. The competition had been wiped out completely. He was it. King.
It should have been his time to shine, but it wasn't. He hadn't been the one to wipe out the competition. There was a new player at work in this deadly game of white powdered poison. And no one had a clue as to who it was. A new cartel? Dealers from South America taking over? The DEA actually doing their job efficiently? Nothing but questions...
Whatever was coming, Armando Hernandez was ready. Aside from the men stationed in the alleys and rooftops, he also had his own personal bodyguards in place. Five in the hallway...three in the room with him.


Armando had come up from nothing. Child to a family of dirt farmers. But Armando wanted bigger. He liked the trappings of wealth and was willing to do whatever it took to make sure that he and his family would have the best that the world could offer. So, he began moving the coca at an early age. He went from beggar in the streets of Bogota to major player in New York City by the ripe old age of 27. A serious man.


He should have been happy to be the only game in town. He wasn't. Right now he was afraid, and he didn't like it. Who was this ghost that had wiped all the competition? That was the only question in his mind as he chopped up another line of the powder that kept him awake...who?


He leaned into the mirror to inhale more of the poison that had made his riches, wanting desperately to stay awake through this situation...but all the powder seemed to be INSIDE the mirror. He did a double-take and saw not his reflection in the mirrored glass, but the reflection of another...and he was laughing!!!


"Thanks, Armando!!" came the voice. "For the dope, and your penchant for shiny things..." the mirror said.
Armando grabbed his gun and shouted to his men. He looked up. His men were laying prone. Dead. He hadn't heard a sound, yet there they lay...right in front of the mirrors outside his walk in wardrobe closet.


The voice laughed again and Armando smashed the mirror with the butt of his rifle.


A movement across the room caught his attention. Out of a wardrobe mirror stepped a man dressed in orange and green. "Thanks for getting things started, but I'll take over from here," said the man.
Before Armando could squeeze off a shot, shards of broken glass shredded through his body...coming from seemingly every reflective surface in the room. Armando was flayed alive before he knew what was happening.
Taking a snort of the illegal white powder, the Mirror Master spoke..."Looks loik Ah'm runnin' things now...heh."

M'gann is a White Martian, but she is unlike the others in her race. Peaceful and caring, M'gann seems much more like a Green Martian. Hearing of the Teen Titans, M'gann disguised herself as a human and asked to join their ranks. Under the alias Megan Martian, she has become one of two new members to the team.

I look up at the cold night sky. My eyes are instantly drawn to a tiny red light - a mere speck among the other stars. I've never been so far from home. It's unsettling and, yet, there are things I don't miss. All the fighting, the constant clashing of the races. It makes me long for the days when there were no White Martians or Green Martians. There were only Martians, and that was fine. Sadly, those days passed eons before me.

Here on Earth, it's no different. Humans killing humans. It's all the same, everywhere in the universe. Humans, much like Martians, kill for race. However, they don't limit themselves there. Christians, Jews, Muslims. Humans, it seems, look for reasons to kill each other. Rich, poor, middle-class. Perhaps humans find a strange sense of comfort in labeling themselves. I have even heard a story of a human killing a singer to impress an actress. Insanity.

For these reasons, and many more, I have been warned not to trust the humans. But, against my better judgment, I've spent time around them. I've even protected them. While I don't think humans have earned their reputation in the galaxy, I can see where one might find fault in their species. Not that I'm saying the Martians are any better. Not by any stretch of the imagination. I don't know. Maybe I'm just more comfortable with my own people. Maybe I'm willing to look past their flaws.

"Maybe I'm naive," I whisper aloud.

Okay. A few things.

1. Please use formatting with your sample post. To get an idea of how to do this, check out the IC thread. If you give Mirror Master's speech his own font and color, it really helps deviate him from other people in your posts.

2. Mirror Master has been used before, last by Johnny Blaze in the Rogue War arc in Season VI, where it was revealed Sam Scudder was alive as the new Heatwave.

I know how to shrink images in paint but they always come out lookin like crap.
