I personally like Spider-Man 2, then Spider-Man 3, then the first one. Mostly because we've seen Spider-Man's origin told in so many different ways, and I'd prefer other stories instead.

Spider-man 2 is the best, but Spider-man 3 is the most entertaining and the first is a great origin story.

Spider-Man 2
Alfred Molina as was equally as awesome as it was entertaining, and memorable.

Definitely the first. Green Goblin was the best villain too.

While I think Spider-Man 2 is the best film wise, my personal fav has to be the first one as well.

There is a change of styles between the movies.
The first is the most 'traditional' comicbook movie, bright colours, origin story, it's just much more fun than most. The second is more of a day in the life of Peter Parker, is is a lot closer to the feel of the Lee and Ditko comics, whereas the first movie was closer to the look of comics in general. Spider-Man 3 is a darker movie, an epic which races along with numerous storylines and amazingly huge action scenes. I have to vote for 3, for among other reasons, it's the one where Spidey actually acts like Spidey; making wisecracks, showboating for fans....the scene where he confronts the Sandman, "I'm the sheriff in these parts," is my favoruite in the entire series.

Spider-Man 2 easily takes the cake.

I would gravitate between Spider-Man 2.1 and Spider-Man 3.

the first, then the third, then the second.
if you look at them all continuously, the second one is a bit like filler. The funny thing is a lot of problems people had with the second are brought up in the third but the third magnifies them because that's what the symbiote generally does. Considering the third had a lot of stories to cram in, it did significantly better compared to spidey 2 which felt very empty and dragged in places. spiderman is the best comicbook movie experience i've ever had. Simplistic yeah but very effective. End rejection of Mj and the final swing are peter parker. Raimi hasn't come close to replicating those emotions in the rest. The only fault i have with spiderman one is making spiderman victimless in uncle ben's death and having the announcer responsible when it had nothing to do with him, it was all down to pete being power hungry. Same goes for wanting the car for MJ, pete just wanted fame and money and to step on people when he started out. but definitely one. |

I liked them all a lot. But I noticed...When I first saw Spider-Man I noticed a point where I checked my watch and it dragged a bit...I did the same for Spider-Man 2, but I didn't do it for Spider-Man 3. I had a fun time watching Spider-Man 3, too. They're all good.

Spider-Man 2. I consider this and TDK the greatest comic book films. Raimi hit it out of the ballpark on this one. Maguire gives such a great performance. One of my personal favorite bits of him is after he learns someone was killed in the fire. the moment with the camera moves in on his face, fading to him standing in front of his window. and him saying, "am i not suppose to have what i want? what i need? what am i suppose to do?" it's the emotion of maguire and the actors the sells this film for me. from the conversation with peter and uncle ben in the car to aunt may's hero speech. those moments make the film for me.

Spider-Man 2 - a damn perfect film. 'nuff said.
Spider-Man - i was ten when i saw this for my birthday. i remember when my mom told me they were making a movie. i said, "what?" how are they suppose to make him swing?" then a couple months later, i saw the twin towers trailer with JP3, and i swear to god, i had tears in my eyes. it was beautiful. when i saw this move finally, it was everything i wanted it to be. Spider-Man 3 - the most dissapointing movie of my life. i remember obsessing over this film day after day as soon as the first trailer came out (i still consider it to be one of the best teaser trailers ever) but it is far from bad. it gets too much bashing around here. and i actually like grace as brock. the doppleganger angle worked well against maguire. here's hoping they release an extended edition. |

Spiderman 2.1
Spiderman Spiderman 3 Is my order, though I like them all, more people need to re-watch Spiderman 3, as i didnt like it the first 2 times I saw it, but the more I watch it, the more I like it. Though there is no denying it is the most flawed of the 3.

Spider-Man 2, with Spider-Man following very closely. And SM3 a little behind SM1.
Love the whole series. Last edited by Web-Head; 09-28-2008 at 03:34 AM. |

Spider-Man 2 for the win, you can't beat Molina as Ock. In close second is Spider-Man, I just love that movie, and then after that is obviously Spider-Man 3. SM3 was okay, but there was just too much.

Spider-Man 2 was the best. Love the others though. SM2 is still onf of the two best comic movies in my eyes. The theatrical for SM2 specifically. 2.1 had some scenes I am glad were cut down, and worked better edited than full. 2.1 had a couple of good additions, but the theatrical flows better. Better film.
