Up the avatar size

For users with under however many thousand posts you need 50 x 50 avatars are pointless. This is the only site I've seen that imposes such strict limits on avatars, sort it out

I love that there is a limit to the sizes of avatars. I hate going to boards and seeing these huge as avatars that take up the whole left side of the screen.

Why does it say In one of the threads something like once you got 100-999 posts you can get a better Avvy/ a .gif avvy long story short, members with a lower post count then me have a .gif avatar...why don't I?, (the pic uploaded is a .gif but it won't move

Also, if I had my way, these silly 100x100x avatars would be eliminated completely and we'd only have 50x50 again, or at most 75x75.

I think that 100x100 is great--I also think that this posting count is good so only regulars get to load bigger avatars.. I still think that 50x50 and 75x75 is way too small (specially for big screens). So the poll (?) should be.. everyone gets a 100x100 or no avatar at all

Simply put, its done for two reasons.
1) Its somewhat a "status symbol"
2) Its a limitation because of bandwidth. Bandwidth is expensive and this is our way of saving a little money.
