Christopher Nolan, Charles Roven and Emma Thomas will be honored as "Hollywood Producers of the Year" for their work on "The Dark Knight" at the 12th Annual Hollywood Film Festival.

"Doubt" scribe John Patrick Shanley will get the Hollywood Screenwriter of the Year honor in addition to his Breakthrough award for helming the pic, as previously announced.

Nolan and his wife, Thomas, are currently developing "The Prisoner" based on the '60s BBC show. Roven is in post on Tom Tykwer's "The International," starring Clive Owen and Naomi Watts.

Awards will be passed out at the Hollywood Awards Gala Ceremony on October 27.

I hope Nolan does "the prisoner". My choice for number 6, Daniel Craig (he knows spy).

If anyone is to take on The Prisoner in film form, I'm delighted to think it will be Christopher Nolan.

Actually that's the first part I read and laughed (at the lack of 'Emma').

The ending of The Prisoner is largely symbolic. There is no Number One, just as there's no Big Brother in Nineteen Eighty-Four, but in a way everyone goes into the creation of and continuation of the IDEA of Number One or Big Brother.

I agree, it was not very clear to me either. Maybe Nolan can clear that up.

Good explanation, I guess also a little bit like the Wizard in the wizard of Oz.
I really want to see what Nolan does with the giant deadly spheres chasing people on the beach.
