final fantasy vii fanart
i did a revamp of cloud strife. just for fun but it ended up sticking with me. wonder what you guys think. i know the art is a little dicey but i did this quick and it was more about the ideas i came up with. i did this because i didn't like the costume in advent children.
i wanted to scar him up and give him a soldier tattoo. i cut the sword in half because i wanted him to get into a bad fight with sephiroth and that where he got the scar on his face when his sword was cut in half.  again i know its a crap pic but thats not the point its about conveying an idea

Actually, that's pretty good. Certainly non-canon, but it would be good to see something not-so-shiny in Cloud's arsenal (although... given how he can put things together in Advent Children... *raises eyebrow menacingly*).

well the sword i designs dosen't seperate its just put back together. i also wanted to give his satchels and compartments on his belt for all his poitions, ethers, and materia. also a dagger for CQC fighting

Cloud's hair is about right, but the eyes are too close. Still, I like it.

yeah ZA your right they are close, but like i said it was a quickie and i was just trying to convey my ideas. like the cargo pocket. can you guys even tell its a cargo pocket. plus my crappy penmenship doesn't help. again thanks for the encouragment . i wish i can post my better pics but there not fan art there just originals

I like your Idea, cloud should have been more gruff for sure. As serious and dark a character as him should have grown a little more rough around the edges. Not to mention the when your fighting with big @ss swords and tearing just about everything up, cloud sure did come out pretty neat and clean. I did like Advent children's costume but some hair and scars would have been a nice touch.

These look great. FF7 is my favorite RPG of all time. I used to do some FF7 fan art but I don't know where it is now, if I find it I'll post it here. I'd love to see not a remake of this game but just an update of FF7 on a next-gen platform with the graphics we have now, kind of like what they did with Tomb Raider Anniversary. If they did that I might be convinced to buy a new console just to play it.

No kidding, I didn't like the redesigns they did for AC. And what was with Cloud's face? It looked like he was constantly on the verge of breaking down in tears.
