Assuming Stark fights smart, he'll win. Chances are though, he'll throw together a suit of Hulkbuster armor that Banner will just tear through like tissue paper.

I think I know the Iron Man issue you refer to but you ignore the fact that the punch fused his armor.

In Hulk #258, the then Crimson Dynamo( now Airstrike) is made to note that he has heard tell that not even Iron Man AND his fellow Avengers have ever prevailed against the Hulk- I'd say it depends as to how angry ol' Jade Jaws is at the time- when he gets a real mad on, not even THOR can stand against him!

Iron-Man as CEO of Stark Industries = Hulk-Buster suit getting ripped to shreds and Banner getting away.

Iron-Man as Director of Shield = Hulk getting launched to another planet

It all depends on what Tony has to work with besides his suit.

But as far as one-on-one goes... do you even have to ask?

Hulk has no weaknesses (besides perhaps psychological ones). Iron-Man is in a suit that has a finite energy source and the limitations of being made of metal.

Not that it wouldn't be really fun to watch.

Reminds me of that scene in "The Incredible Hulk" where Tony criticizes biological in favor of tech.

Still Hulk would win. Tony's armor can be ripped apart.

The HULK's strength is no match for Iron Man's! Are you kidding!? Iron Man's strength is around the 80 ton mark. While the HULK starts at 100 and goes up as he gets angry. His strength has no limits. This really isn't even a contest.
