When was the last time a friend tried hooking you up with someone, and did it turn out good or bad?

It's always ended in a flaming disaster because said friends were using their personal tastes to choose my "date" as opposed to thinking of what I like in a man.

The last time this happened it sort of worked out well, but it was really my friends just pushing me to hook up with someone I had already shown interest in.
I went on a blind date once that ended in getting doused with her drink. For the record, before starting a conversation one should always ask if there are any topics that your conversation friend finds grossly offensive and that might cause her to soak you in diet cola.

My first year out of high school my best friend was dating a girl he met through his work. Me and him were hanging out one night, and he told her to call her single friend and invite her over. He thought I would like her. The girl was average, she was like 2 years older than me, and of course she had twin boys. One date with that girl and I knew why she didn't know who the father was. We went out maybe 3 times before I was finally annoyed with her and called it off.
That was a bad call on his part.

Haha, yeah this happened to me like a year and a half ago.
The guy was urrrgly and his lips were nasty and he kept telling me 'so when are we gonna lips*, I thought you said we were gonna lips' And then I said no so he tried it on my other friend So her and her stupid ass ended up kissing him and she went out with him for like 2 days. He just liked her better cus she had a big back off*!  * - Lips means french kiss/make out. - Back off means ass

With me, people would seem to think because I'm overweight that I automatically would want someone who's overweight also. Now I'm not saying that I wouldn't date a woman who was overweight, it's just that the ones people try to hook me up with are way better than me and not that great to look at.
So now whenever someone tries to hook me up with someone I say "no thanks".

Friends have wanted to but I haven't let them. One of my girl friends once did drunkenly say to another of my girl friends that they could get a guy and go home for a threesome once though. Thats the nearest my social circle has actually come to pairing each other off.

My friend was seeing a girl who was in hustler magazine for a while...so naturally when he set me up with her friend she was stripper/porn star with a boyfriend in jail. How else would it end? At least I dont got herpes
