And as it stands, Rob himself won't be involved.

Without Zombie and his attempts to Rob Zombie-fy the mythoes it could be okay. I've always been disappointed by Halloween 2. This could be a proper follow up.

I would rather not have anyone associated with Rob Zombie making this movie. He has quirky characters and truthfully his remake destroyed the mystery that made Michael Myers so scary. You almost feel bad for him when he starts killing people. I liked the way the family was portrayed in John Carpenter's versions. His sister and mom and dad seemed normal in the blip they were in and it made you wonder what kind of true evil was in Michael Myers.

Hopefully they bring Malcolm McDowell back. He was my favorite part of the movie even though he was okay at best if they do make this.

Recast Laurie Strode.

I agree with all of this except the recast part. Compton did fine enough, considering her role was little more than running and screaming. But yeah, the rest of your post, from McDowell to the mystery of Michael in the Carpenter version is dead on

I don't know what to think of this. I'm just glad Zombie isn't invovled. He put too much sex and swearing in the last one.

I hated Compton as Laurie Strode. She seemed way too sexual and "bimbo-ish" to play that part. Laurie is supposed to be this quiet, shy type and Compton was making sexual remarks to her family with bagels on her boobs(if you saw the movie, you'd know what I mean)? Huh?!
But,once again Danielle Harris was great. I loved her in 4 and 5 as well.
Tyler Mane was great as Michael. A bit too tall, but I can overlook that.
Honestly,Rob Zombie is one of my favorite directors out there. The Devil's Rejects is one of the best horror films of the decade, imo. But Zombie only works best with his type of film, and Halloween isn't his type of film. He's more a gore, shock exploitation kinda director. Halloween is more suspense and thrills. A movie version of "Werewolf women of the SS" is the exact type of movie I wanna see Rob make.

I thought they were supposed to be making it. I know a while ago Rob asked everyone on his myspace page if he should and everyone fully agreed. I have no idea if they are or what's going on with it now.

I really don't care anymore. Rob Zombie's remake was okay. As long as I get a creepy walk, an awesome theme, and some kills It'll entertain me. ^_^

P.S. Please don't make the same mistake twice, by changing the mask every film!

The remake was fun, so yeah, why not. Then again, the only thing I never liked about Michael Myers, is that he's supposedly immortal. I like to think of him as a normal guy. A very strong, pain enduring guy, but not an immortal who always resurrects.

I thought the 2nd one was all kinds of dumb, never seen it before until a few months ago when a friend showed it to me. He gets shot in both of his eyes, blown up and burned to a crisp, yet in the next sequel he's back good as new.

Rob Zombie's Halloween definitely doesn't need a sequel, the torture porn horror movies need to stop, it's not scary just gross.

Wonder how this one will work. In the original Halloween 2, Dr Loomis doesn't learn Laurie is Michael's sister until the final act of the movie. She's left unguarded in the Haddonfield hospital after her ordeal in Halloween 1, while Michael is slowly killing off all the nurses and doctors in the hospital. Loomis is running around Haddonfield like a headless chicken shouting "I shot him six times!!!"

But in Zombie's Halloween, he knew all about Laurie being Michael's sister.

I liked the remake/re-imagining well enough, but a sequel seems quite unnecessary. If I recall correctly, did it not end with Laurie shooting Michael in the head and his blood spraying all over her? I mean, yeah, he's survived worse, but the ending just seemed so...final.

On a different note, I really wish the alternate ending would have been used instead of the one I just mentioned. A much better ending for that film's version of Michael.

GOD NO!

And I hate that the directors of insanely awesome Inside were taking the job a while ago. (Dunno what's the situation now.) I want them to do more original stuff! Not Hollywood remakes!

Is Rob Zombie going to exec produce this? Or be a writer on it? Cause I heard he wasn't coming back to direct it, but they had two directors already in mind, all they need is the script and the contract signed.

If they go with a different director, I hope they don't keep referring it to Zombies Halloween.
