I think I still favor Baker as Orin. Something about him conveys just the right blend of nice guy and imposing king.

I'd like him, and support him. Wenham is my choice for now, though.

Orin is his Atlantean name, Arthur Curry is the name he grew up with.

Aquaman/Orin/Arthur Curry- Phillp Winchester

Princess Mena- Emily Blunt (get her on the rebound from Marvel)

Black Manta- Michael Ealy

Ocean Master/Orm- Jonathan Rhys Meyers

King Shark- Adam Baldwin (use FX to make voice deeper though)

Aquaman has some pretty cool villians, mostly water based but very cool none the less.

They look quite scary. Having solid villains is half the battle for establishing a superhero's credibility. There's no need for Aquaman to be portrayed as a total joke in his own movie.

Here is hoping if WB ever makes this into feature film it wont be a comedy with action.

Sorry, but Milk of Magnesia moves me more than this cast. Just because a guy got a feel of Beyonce in a music video doesn't mean he gets a part as a premire villian in a big budget superhero film.

I think the long haired bearded Aquaman looks kinda like the wrestler Triple H in that picture. I personaly like how they did Aquaman in the pilot for the tv show. And I personaly think this is probaly how they would do a live action Aquaman movie. How about if they made Aquaman in the style of 300? I mean film every thing basicly with green screens and such. I also like the idea of having the bitter AM telling his story, I think this would be a great way to do the first movie. I'm not sure on who I would put in the movie but I like some of the suggested cast. As for the B&B AM I really like his look on the show but I don't like how they have him act.

It might be easier listing actors we do NOT want.

Paul Walker.
Chris Evans.
Olympic star M. Phillips with dyed hair.

man, what are youu even talking about...ya he was in the Beyonce video...thats not why I chose him. Sleeper Cell, Barbershop, MIracle at St. Anna (crappy script, good actors). If your goona criticize my performances dont presume why I pick some one, actually ask.

The only actor that I would consider out of your suggestion is Phillip Winchester, but none of these actors can carry a film. You are going to need a big name/draw for a marginal character like Aquaman to be successful as a franchise. That's what I'm talking about. Speaking of Phillip, I am going to need some of Phillips Haley's MO for your cast because I am not moved.

...unless your Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, or Sylvester Stallone your not born being an action movie franchiser. Christian Bale, Robert Downey JR, Shia LaBeouf, Daniel Craig, and Reeves...huge action film franchise stars now but weren't born action stars. They (except RDJ) were low key/non house hold name actors who the producers decided to take a chance on and that made the films better than they were. Imagine TDk with Jake Gylennhall as Batman. Imagine Iron Man with Tom Cruise. Angelina Joile as Vesper Lynn (Casino Royale) If you have a film with people that are just generic action actors then you get an action film that is nothing special. Make predictable casting choices, you get a predictable action movie

I said you are going to need somebody that can carry the film. That statement is irrespective of whether you were born to be an A-Lister or not. None of the people you suggested can do that since they haven't in the past. Aquaman is not the type of character that will draw on his name alone and that is why an actor who could draw an audience is needed for a film like this.

Lord of the Rings: FOTR...no HUGE names in cast ( Did anyone think Sean Astin or Elijah Wood would be in a huge film) . not everyone knows the book or at least hadn't read it (not something that would draw. Still made over $870'000'000
Star Wars: A New Hope no HUGE names in cast or director. Still made over $775'000'000. 47,211,490 opening weekend

Good movies speak for themselves. Maybe the first weekend numbers wont be Spiderman or Entourage's Aquaman huge, but if it's good like LOTR or Star Wars then it should gain more money over time despite if the cast arent made of superstars

I think you're underestimating the Lord of the Rings books.

He really is underestimating them. I grew up in a ghetto people overglorified because people copped kilos up here. Yet me a public school kid in a mainly spanish speaking community still managed to read the LOTR at school by 8th grade. Those books are that huge generation after generation read them in english class and it's a worldwide phenomenon. LOTR = the original Harry Potter.

Hey in my opinion the book LOTR aren't that popular, they're like Catcher in the Rye Good books but not universally known books (unfortunetley) . Everyone knows Harry Potter whether you like the books or not. LOTR books had a ressurgence of popularity during the period that the movies were coming out. To a certain generation LOTR might be the Harry Potter, but to alot of people from 1980-2000 the books might have not been that popular

Catcher in the Rye is pretty universally known, too. It's taught in high school English classes throughout the country.

Also, I was born in 1984 and I've heard of both. Later generations might not know of them, but that's more because later generations don't read anything that's not online than it is because of the books themselves.
