The Israel Situation

A few weeks back, Isreali warships bombed a beach in Gaza, filled with innocent people just enjoying the warm weather. There was seemingly no reason for this attack at all.

Soon after, more shell attacks across the Gaza strip.

No western government is willing to tell the Isreali government to stop. No one will defend the Palestinian people. If I were a Palestinian, I'd be damn pissed off. Everything those people have went through. Damn right I'd become a freedom fighter if I were Palestinian.

Today has been proclaimed the most violent in Gaza for over a year. Isreal is taking over parts of Northern Gaza. This is in response to a soldier being captured. But that doesn't explain the beach bombing, that was before the kidnapping. So how do you respond to a few Palestinians kidnapping a soldier?? Bomb the heck out of Gaza!! Hooray!! What is it, 50 dead Palestinians?? Many injured women and children.

Why is it that more and more I feel like the supposedly "democratic" countries are the bad guys?

Because most of those western countries helped create what we know as Israel today, and are not willing to clean up their own mess.

Say some crazy Spanish guys kidnapped a French soldier. And France started sending soldiers into Spain, and started bombing Spain, killing and injuring alot of Spanish folk. I'm pretty sure that the entire western world would be all like "Hey!! France!! What the **** are you doing??" and the governemnts would be all over it.

But because this is Isreal, Isreal can just do whatever they like without consequence to the Palestinian people.

Right. But how many innocent lives were taken intentionally by suicide bombers over the past, what, 6 years!? The people killed in those attacks were also just trying to live their lives amidst the chaos caused by extremists. There are so many that the American news networks stop reporting them.

Well, what we have here is a big difference between Isreal and Palestine. When Isreali attacks, it's the government and the army attacking. When Palestine attacks, it's with a few organized terrorists. Suicide bombing accomplishes little. The Palestinians have every right to be exremely pissed off with Isreal, they've had so much crap from them for a long time. I'd even join the Palestinian terrorists if I lived there probably. But suicide bombing is poor stragedy, and does nothing to further your cause. It brings attention from the rest of the world, and not good attention either. It just makes it easier for Isreal to make Palestine look like an evil terrorist state.
