John Travolta's 16 year old son has died!

He had some type of seizure while on vacation, and they were not able to revive him.

I just read about this. Very sad. If I'm not mistaken they said Jett had a history of health problems/seizures. Goes to show everyone that just because you're rich it doesn't guarantee anything.

My condolences go out to the Travolta family. I know they're just destroyed at the moment.

I have a funny feeling, we aren't going to see these 2 parents for awhile in the spotlight.......I think this might have really hit them hard. There is nothing like losing a child.

That's awful. I may not be John Travolta's biggest fan, but no one should have to go through the loss of a child, especially one so young. I really hope him and his family can pull through this tragedy.

Heard this earlier, he was in the shower and he seized up and hit his head. Thats messed up to happen to any family.

That's really terrible but the moment I heard it, I got a little suspicious. There's been rumors that he was autistic and his parents basically locked him away because Scientologists don't believe in it. And he was only 16 years old.

That's been the debate on a lot of forums. Also, the condition Jett had, Kawasaki's, has a 2 % fatality rate if treated properly. On the other hand, seizures are not a symptom of the disease. It's a very convoluted and sad story.

Alittle more information...

They are going to do an autopsy tomorrow....
Kelly Preston was on Montel in 2003, and talked about the Kawasaki disease, and she did say that he had had seizures before....
She also talked about how they had used toxic cleaning, which had helped when Jett was younger.
The family last saw Jett the night before when he went into the restroom, I assume everyone went to bed, and the information does not have a time of death....
Jett was always on the sets of his father's movies, in fact, he had just been on the set of Travolta's new movie "From Paris With Love"....

Parents are just not supposed to outlive their children......this is just a sad story all the way around.

Just read about this on MyEmbarq's front page. It hits home somewhat, as someone who's only three years older than this teen and has lived with seizures throughout my childhood. May he rest in peace.

having an autistic brother myself, i know what its like to be around a person in that manner. I feel so bad for Travolta and my prayers will also be going out to them and their family.
