I've seen 2 seizures in my life. It's pretty terrifying. You feel very helpless. And you can't do anything about it, just hold them and stop their head from pounding on the ground.

I feel very bad for Travolta, he seems like one of the more respected actors in Hollywood, he's never really been a bad person, and people don't have much bad to say about him.

It sucks.

2009 better back the hell off. All the celeb deaths 2008 was bad enough, another year like that we will left with but talentless airheads like paris hilton.

John Travolta's lawyer has made an official statement about death of his son, Jett. In it, he admits John will never be the same.

"John did everything in his power to revive [his son.] John and Jett had a very strong relationship. Words cannot explain how close they were. This will take a lot of time. His life will never be the same again."

People Magazine also interviewed a family friend who gave more details about Jett's last moments and how desperate John was to hold on. I cried just imaging his pain. The friend says workers litereally had to remove John from Jett's body because he wouldn't stop trying to revive him.

"He never dreamed of this – their relationship was so close,” says family attorney Mike Ossi, who is in the Bahamas with the actor. "He always said 'I'm happy as long as my kids are happy.' He is heartbroken … To bury your son is the worst thing you can ever do."

According to Ossi, 16-year-old Jett was discovered by a nanny on Friday morning around 10 a.m. After the nanny called 911, John Travolta tried in vain to resuscitate his son.

"He didn't want anything to happen to that boy, and he kept on trying to revive him," said Ossi. "He did mouth-to-mouth until they had to physically remove John to take Jett to the hospital."

John Travolta and his wife, actress Kelly Preston, released a statement on Preston's official website on Sunday.

It is the couple's first public words since the tragic and sudden death of their 16-year-old son, Jett, on Friday.

They say:

We would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt thanks to everyone who has sent their love and condolences.

Jett was the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for and lit up the lives of everyone he encountered. We are heartbroken that our time with him was so brief. We will cherish the time we had with him for the rest of our lives. We have received many messages of condolence from around the world and we want to thank everyone for their prayers and support. It has meant so much to us. It is a beautiful reminder of the inherent goodness in the human spirit that gives us ahope for a brighter future.

John, Kelly and Ella

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday in the Bahamas.

But, by multiple accounts, Jett's death was just an unfortunate and horrible accident.

What I find really disgusting is that they dont have any privacy to deal with this as all aspects of what happend are going public.

You sound like this is an odd occurance, plenty of people die every day, I guess there deaths aren't special though since their parent's aren't movie stars.

The kid wasn't a celebrity, honestly when the last time you thought or heard about John Travolta's kid before reading this news report.

It sucks for the family sure, but it's a fact of life, people die. Just think it's weird that when a celebrity or the child of celebrity dies, it's always so much more of a tradegy.

My dad died in October. Three people showed up to his funeral and his obituary was in The Star Ledger.

Sorry for their loss, but I don't see why the headlines are screaming about this. It goes the same for John Ritter's death. It's not like these people are the Pope.

I feel so bad for John. I don't care about his religious views, I know a LOT of people hate Scientology, but it's still his son.
