Yar. I find the first song I heard from them, "Nature of the Experiment" really captivating, still my favourite.
How many albums do they have out? |

This indie junkie tends to have that electronic flair to it. Namely Stars, Death Cab for Cutie, the RealPeople and the Postal Service.
I really enjoy the fact Stars, Metric and The Arcade Fire put a little depth and ambiguity in their lyrics. I like them thinking songs. Anybody heard of Psapp, Blonde Redhead, Ladytron or Matisyahu? |

Love me some Arcade Fire.
I have a friend who's big into Matisyahu, saw him live and loved it. I've heard some Ladytron although it's not my cup of tea. |

I can see Ladytron being... out there. For me, it's kinda like Blonde Redhead. Really abrasive at first, then a little more bearable each time. |

I heard Arctic Monkeys 'From The Ritz To The Rubble' on the radio the other day I haven't heard that song in a while and I forgot how awesome it is Love the Futureheads 'hounds of love' cover. Shadow Puppets, Maximo Park are good too.

I couldn't get into them at first, couldn't see what the big deal was. For whatever reason I revisited the album and was hooked. I think some of the stuff from their second album ("Can't Stand Me Now," "Don't Look Back Into the Sun") was more accessible.

I highly recommend the new album from It Hugs Back entitled "Inside Your Guitar". This is the British band's debut on legendary indie label 4AD and they remind me a lot of The Ladybug Transistor or some of the quieter, fuzzed-out Yo La Tengo songs from the "Painful" or "I Can Hear a Heart Beating..." albums. Really mellow, catchy, beautiful songs full of atmosphere and subtle effects.

Went to a show at the Silverlake Lounge in LA to see DUSTY RHODES AND THE RIVER BAND.
Indie bluegrass at its finest. Even if you don't like that type of music, they are so good live! http://www.myspace.com/dustyrhodes

I'd suggest The National, The Flaming Lips, Arctic Monkeys, Band of Horses, and if you're into older stuff I'd throw in Joy Division and The Smiths. |

Went to make a thread about obscure music and noticed this.
I have a slightly bizarre taste in music so I thought I would list some of my favourite songs. 1. Dog Days - Florence And The Machine VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:
2. Skinny Love - Bon Iver VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:
3. Oh My God - Ida Maria VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:

Been digging Pete Doherty's solo album, although I wish the seemingly inevitable Libertines reunion would happen. The solo stuff isn't as memorable, although definitely enjoyable.
