I believe the first episode airs February 12th. CBS has just started running promos for it.

I'm excited about this . I would of seen every season if they were available on dvd . I tried downloading off i tunes and for some reason that didn't work out so well.

This new season looks good because of all the hot women: Sydney , Sierra , Candace , Debra , Erin and Carolina .

Can't wait. Survivor is and will continue to be one of the best Reality Show/Game Shows on TV right now because you actually have to work for your win.

I was going to apply for the season coming up (filmed over the summer, airing in the fall) but I missed out on the deadline.

Here's the cast pictures:

Jalapao Tribe

Top: Carolina, James "JT", Joe, Sandy
Bottom: Spencer, Stephen, Sydney, Taj

Timbira Tribe

Top: Ben, Brendan, Candace, Debbie
Bottom: Erinn, Jerry, Sierra, Tyson

The twist at the beginning of the game is that both tribes will have to vote one person out just based on first impressions. I doubt the two people that are voted out will actually be kicked out of the game, so I'm thinking they either get sent to Exile, or they get switched to the other team, with immunity.

Should be fun. Plus it premieres on my birthday!

Thanks for posting the tribe pics SuperT! This season looks to be pretty good! I always love the twists! I think you might be onto something with voted out players getting immunity right off the bat! That would certainly be interesting.

I'm glad they went back to sixteen players this season. The big 18-20 castmembers was beginning to show in the editing when some people would just be completely ignored. Especially last season in Gabon with Susie. She made it all the way to the end of the game ended up coming in second place, yet she was completely invisible.

I did hear though that this season was originally going to start out with 18 cast members but someone had to be removed before filming started due to medical issues, so they had to drop someone else as well.

RealityBlurred is doing their annual interviews with each cast member. They did the same last year with Gabon. They've already released their interviews with Sydney, Sandy, Erinn, and Spencer.

I don't expect Sydney to be a good player since she says the past castaways game she wants to emulate the most is Amanda from Survivor China and Micronesia. Not very smart to want to play like a castaway that made it all the way to end and LOST both time.

So...based on first impressions, who do you think will go really far in the game?

Really can't tell right now since there hasn't been a lot of interviews from the castaways yet.

I can say that I won't be surprised at all if Sandy is the first boot from her tribe. She's interesting but crazy crazy crazy crazy! Be fun to watch on TV but I'd get sick of her if I had to live with her for 39 days.

I hope we get some really good players this time. Last season was entertaining as heck, but there wasn't a lot of good players. We need some good strategic players!

I want a another female like Cirie. She was probably one of the best females to ever play Survivor. Just completely outplayed everyone on both seasons she was on.

Forget calling Rob Cesternino from Survivor Amazon the best player to never win, that title goes to Cirie now.

They're still doing this show? What is it like the 50th season? I stopped watching this back when the 8th season ended.

What gave you that idea? Probst himself has said that 20 is a reasonable number to stop.

I doubt that. Usually the comeplete a**holes win these things. That's what always put me off and everyone got younger and everything.

My fav season was the second one when they were in Australia. Two good people won.

Rupert still one of my favorite survivors. I'm glad he won that bonus vote for the million.

No, it's true, the last couple seasons have been great for Survivor fans, they're have been some great strategists come along, some great characters to cheer for, and some powerhouses too.

The last three seasons (China, Micronesia, and Gabon) were absolutely AMAZING. China was great because a gamer/schemer, Todd, who played to the hilt from the first day won.

Micronesia was so great because Cirie pretty much controlled the entire game, and although she didn't win, the next best player that season, Parvati, won over the horrible player that was Amanda.

And then Gabon was just great because everyone thought the entire game would be handed to Marcus on a silver platter for him to win and he got totally blindsided and voted out and the game was turned on it's head from there on out.

And UGH @ Rupert. Talk about being one of the most overrated Survivor castaways EVER. He played an absolutely abysmal game in Pearl Islands and thought people should just keep him around and let him win just because he was nice and worked around camp and fed them. Sorry, but that's not how Survivor is played buddy.

Then they brought him back for All Stars where he played an equally, if not worse, game then the first time around and lost again. Then they had to trot out that stupid "Fan Vote" just to give him a million dollars he didn't even earn.

So stupid. Rupert and Stephanie from Survivor Palau and Survivor Guatemala have to be two of the most overrated players ever, and people just eat that crap up. At least Stephenie brought the drama both times she was on the show.

The last three seasons have definately had some of the best blindsides. Gabon was a good season because it become an underdog story with kenny but then had you rooting against him by the end.

I don't think Stephanie was the best player but I liked her personality in Palau and was amzed she held on for so long . In guatemala her personality changed a bit and it made me not like her as much but I still love you steph!!!
