New X-men was originally called New Mutants before they switched the name. This title is called New Mutants bc of the nostalgia factor. They are all X-men though as they are currently being used over in Uncanny and in several different mini series and one shots fighting along side the main team. New Mutants is a sub-team within the main team similar to X-force and formerly Young X-men. I dont have a problem with the name. Its used to distinguish this specific group of characters when they are on missions together. They are still in the major league as members of the X-men

Given how many times we've seen Doug in the promo pictures, I'd say it's only a matter of time.

And not to nitpick, but can we get a steady logo? I like being able to identify comics by recognizing the title's graphics from a distance, just in case my glasses are off.

Personally, I like that these guys and gals are finally getting some more attention given to them after all this time.

As far as the New X-Men/students, they'll be appearing in Legacy in the future after it's focus fully shifts over from Xavier and after the Dark Reign tie-in.

I blame him for Young X-Men's cancellation. People would've read beyond the first couple of issues if he wasn't drawing the Neander-mutants.

I think Sam is one of the best Bro's in the X-world. He just seems like he has a lot of really good friends, and is totally likable.
