I would recast one role and ONE ROLE ONLY.....

Victor Von Doom.

He needs to be a very aristocratic foreign born individual who DOESN'T come on like a poor man's Lex Luthor from Lois & Clark. Hell, I don't ever want to see the actor's face once it's supposed to be disfigured. They could do a Darth Vader and have one actor play the physical presence and another the voice.

Darth Vader was just a Dr. Doom rip off anyway.

I TOTALLY agree with all of those. Especially Ralph Fienes (How could I not see that?) He would make a perfect Doctor Doom: Creepy, intelligent, conniving, arrogant, etc....he has all the qualities

And I love Luke Goss as the submariner.
And George Clooney has always been a fan favorite, it will never happen but hed be a perfect Reed Richards.

I used those about a year or two ago, back when the F4 still had their own boards.

And it may be a bit too early to tell, but from what I've seen of Star Trek, I think Chris Pine might make a great Johnny.

See, that's what I'm talking about. Thing needs to be comparable to the Hulk. That's why I say CG. The Thing we got was a joke.

Oh, I know. I wouldnt be quite so blunt if they were your choices. But since they're Jeph Loebs, I figured what the hell.

Plus he doesn't mind keeping his face covered an entire movie (V for Vendetta), with not even a glimpse of his actual face even once. So he would have no problem wearing the mask of Doom the entire film.

This is how he started out though:

and slowly turned into this:

They could explain it in the movie the same way they did in the comics:

Yeah, I say Thing should be all CG. I'm no expert on those kinds of FX, but I imagine Ben's rock skin would be easier to render onscreen than Hulk's flesh.

Hands down the best casting choices I've seen. And I was on the FF boards from the start, so I've seen them all!

I have often stated that Hugo in V for Vendetta was the Von Doom that movie audiences should have gotten.

But would he still be willing if they asked him to do his best Latverian accent? If he has a different accent it might not sound like him exactly and then he wouldn't be as recognizable. but also he should have an accent because Doom has an accent and because they want his Doom to be different from Hugo's V.

Whoever plays Doom, in whatever future movie, he MUST be willing to not show his face on camera unless its a flash back,
and
he must have a distinct voice, an interesting and compelling voice. He would also need to be able to convey a lot through his actions, movements, and gestures, because he wont be able to with his face. But not over act with his body either.

Then again, you could always go the Darth Vader rout, and have one actor do the voice while another actor plays the body inside the suit.

It's too bad that Elizabeth Banks has already played Betty Brant in the Spider-Man flicks. Personally, there should be an unwritten rule about actors/actresses not being allowed to play other characters in the same universe (Marvel in this case).

I think there sort of is.
Have there been any actors who have played more than one character in the Marvel universe, or DC?

I think Malin Akerman (Silk Specter II) would be a very good Sue Storm. Her natural hair color is actually blond too.

Rebecca Romijn played Mystique in the X-Men films, and Joan in the 2004 Punisher. Although, I think thats a bit of an exception.
