Default This should have been his response...

I've read on somewhere/sometime on this boards about a guy who claims that idea behind TDK was his and it was stolen from him. Well, I've found another one who has the same issue, but surprisingly, his response was the other way around...

It's F. Paul Wilson, author of Definitive Therapy.

I happen to own a copy of "The Further Adventures of Batman" that I have never read, but Wilson's story is not included (incredibly, though, there is a story by Isaac Asimov). Perhaps there was another edition of the book.

I'll download his story and see about the apparent similarities.

So I just read the story and saw no similiarities other than it's the Joker in Gotham manipulating people. I did learn however that The Joker has normal, uncircumcized male genitals.

Perhaps he meant "The Further Adventures of the Joker," another similar book?

i think the original article hits the nail on the head, actually.

it's nothing more than two creators picking up on the original and central characteristics of the character.

Come on the storyline of TDK is hardly complicated or deep is it? with the vast back catalouge of comics it writes itself really

Joker comes to Gotham causes chaos, insert sub-stoty with harvey and connect rachel, bruce and harvey in a love triangle stir well and its a job done.
