That was probably around the time when I started to dislike Stark considerably.
Yep, "Standoff." One of the best parts of the King Thor saga. So good, in fact, that I made a wallpaper out of its covers (which is sadly too small for my current desktop):

Yeah, Loki's basically the Zeus of the Asgardians as far as spreading his seed goes. There was an arc in Amazing Spider-Man during JMS' run that revealed he's got a few demigod kids running around on Earth, too.

Yeah, that was a great story line. I never caught the first part but I read the last two. I liked it a lot. Thor is the man. He's always been my second favorite superhero for as long as I could remember.

And that reminds me to post more Hulk vs. Thor pics!

I like Yu's Thor.

Thor vs. Herc!

Another cool Thor pic.

I like Yu's Thor.
Those pencils are amazing! His work always gets watered down once it's inked. Shame.

I see what you mean. I like when dudes like Ron Garney and Deodato use photoshop to darken pencils, avoiding the inks altogether.

I think the inking worked for SI though. It really helped it go well with the coloring and it seemed a lot cleaner. I don't know if it was inked when he was on NA though.

Then Loki stepped in to save the day, and was able to calm the Stallion down long enough to be captured by turning into a female horse and ****ing it. Of course, Loki got preggers and produced Slepnir, the magical eight legged horse that Odin rides. Ew.

That's the mythological version, by the way. Loki wasn't involved in the birth of the Marvel version of Sleipnir.

I believe it is from Runaways, or maybe a Runaways mini.

What? When the hell did Thor and the Hulk ever fight in a Runaways comic and how did I not hear about it?

This bears further examination...

The version I knew was the one Ages of Thunder was based on.
Loki changed into the mare to lure the Frost Giant's horse away as in the comic so the giant couldn't finish the wall. Well in the myth, Loki ended up getting chased by the stallion and a few months later returned with Slepnir in tow and he handed Slepnir over to Odin.

All this Loki talk reminded me I'd scanned these a couple days ago. Forgot to post them:

In case anyone's confused, that's Surtur--the guy who killed Odin and with whom Odin is locked in eternal, equal struggle with every day in the afterlife--that Loki is taking on for a while all by his lonesome.

Man, I need to go read Simonson's stuff. Loki just rules here. Maybe if those Asgardian douches were kind enough to show Loki some gratitude, the number of times he's bailed them outta a jam over the eons, he might be less inclined to wipe them all out.

Well, no, Loki's still a jerk. Look at what he's fighting for when Thor and Odin join the fray later on:

That's why I love Loki. He's a prick with enough power to be a legitimate deity.
