When I saw Transformers two years ago, I realized something. The movie itself was a somewhat bittersweet experience.

On one hand, the movie was AMAZING. And there are so many scenes in that film that TO THIS DAY when I watch the film, I have to jump up and get excited, because I am watching my very childhood brought to life right before my very eyes.

On the other hand, I become disappointed because through 3 X-Men films, I never had a "geekgasm" like I did for a movie like Transformers. X-Men is my favorite thing on the planet. If I'm going to geekgasm my nerd load all over the theatre, it should be for X-Men, right?

There are about 3 or 4 "geekgasm" moments for me in the X-Men trilogy:

-Xavier and Magneto dialogue at the Senate (X-Men)
-Magneto's escape from prison (X2)
-
Jean Grey's sacrifice (X2)
-Phoenix rises on Alcatraz (X-Men: The Last Stand).

Sure, there's a couple moments, but there should be a whole lot more.

I think this movie is giving me the "whole lot more".

Everytime I see Gambit slam his staff into the alleyway after jumping off the roof, I geekgasm my nerd load all over my apartment. Everytime I see Gambit charge the deck of cards that will eventually get launched into Wolverine's gullet, I geekgasm my nerd load all over my apartment.

And now with this new TV spot, watching the teacher make those remarks to Cyclops, and his little reaction, followed by the epic shot of him released optic blast goodness into the Weapon X facility?

You called it. Geekgasm my nerd load all over my apartment.

Whoda thunk that the X-Men movie to give me my geekgasms would be a spinoff film?

(P.S.: Number of geekgasms don't necessarily equate to overall quality)

Yeah that was a bit strange. But they went ahead and named Creed Sabretooth even though he's not listed like that, same with Wade Wilson. I expected the same treatment with Wade.

No problem everyone. I've been visiting these boards for so long and downlaoding from everyone else its the least I could do.

Im pissed there is no Deadpool mention. But I do like the naming off characters. Should have done that in the trailers. Good tv spot.

I'm guessing they're saving Deadpool for the reveal in the movie. Though they could have shown him as Wade Wilson.

Cool spot though. Thanks, def.

That's a pretty dumb move then If they want to promote this movie they'll need to throw all the names out they can, including the merc with a mouth's.

Reynolds is the second most marketable actor in this flick. Something has to be up.They had no problem showing LaserPool in the trailers so I doubt its because they are trying to keep something secret. No website mention + no trailer mention=bulls***

Exactly, the fact they had Agent Zero, and Emma Frost but no Deadpool, is kinda like "Huh?" to me. Then again they didn't have Wraith in there, I'm sure Will.I.Am has a fanbase too, but so does Reynolds. Maybe there's different versions of that TV spot with different mixes of mutants in it?

They're probably leavin Deadpool out of all this extra stuff because of all the negative feed back he's been gettin, or because he ends up as the main villain and they wanna keep it a surprise or somthin.

it's only a minute long spot.

there's no secret method behind advertising, they just show the big shiny things and every once in a while chuck in something else shiny and new.

it doesn't mean anything if something is shown or not.

since when has a x-men trailer clearly depicted the content of its film anywho.

Weird how Emma Frost got her own title mention....does this mean she has a bigger role to play than first thought?

Cyclops getting mentioned in the TV Spot over Deadpool is kind a slap in the face. lol Hopefully there's another.

Its not a slap in the face, they're keeping him quiet. It's the same with TDK with Two Face,or Spider-Man 3 with Venom. Even Batman Begins with Ras Al Ghul to a certain degree.

Average Joe is probably thinking "Silver Fox? Who the f**k is Silver Fox?" and "But she's is foy-iiine"
There is one thing that pisses me off. Cyclops? That is not Cyclops, that is Scott freakin Summers. He won't be Cyclops for another ten or so years and then he wil D.I.E. That's right Fox, you killed him. And now you're trying to profit after a character that you abused again and again. That is just irating to me I can't even express it.

And yeah, no Deadpool. What gives!?

I'd rather them utilize Cyclops and try to give him as much positive screen time as possible, considering the treatment he got in the third movie.
