Fast food feels fuzzy
Cause it's made from stuff that's skuzzy
I always thought I was such a nerd
I refused to eat that strange bean curd
I wouldn't eat it, WOW!
But it ate you!

I ate tofu for the first time today. It came in a plastic wrap with water in side. My question for all you tofu eaters, how much of it do you ear per meal? How to you preserve it? What recipes will you share with me? Will I ever complete Zelda: Twilight Princess?

The only time I've had tofu was when they were tofu hot dogs. I made chilidogs with them.

store it submerged in water (that you'll have to change daily) in a closed container in the fridge.

easiest recipe: Chilli Tofu Pasta sauce
start with half an onion and a large clove of garlic fry in pan.
Add large cubes of capsicum
add diced tofu (about 2cm squared)
Add Tomato paste (and water)
add some freshly diced chillies (depending on how hot you like it)

put on spaghetti and eat.

I tried tofu once.

I was skeptical because people said it tasted like nothing. Well, that's exactly what it tastes like: nothing. It literally has no taste at all. It can't be compared to anything. Even air has more of a taste than tofu.

It's truly an interesting eating experience.

But it makes my teeth bacterial

I sometimes go to this cafe with friends, and if we order 'X' amount of food, they give us complimentary soup. About half the time, the soup has tofu in it. It's not bad.

I've heard that to, people saying that its because Soybeans contain high levels of plant estrogen. However, everything on the net I am finding is contradictory so it might be a case of too much of anything can be bad for you.

It's like when people warn you about eating too much tuna because of mercury poisoning. You can eat tofu occasionally, but not every meal of every day. If you're a vegetarian, eat more beans and drink milk. If you're a vegan, then I think you should know that even the vegetarians are making fun of you. Also, eat beans.

If you are vegan or vegetarian, tofu isn't the only thing you can eat. They have a few restaurants in the city specifically for those food types.

Tofu is great, but you don't eat it plain, and you have to know how to make a delicious dish out of it. Chinese restaurants have many great dishes that featured tofu, and once you tried a good dish you'll know that tofu can be healthy as well as great tasting.
