That's good news for gamers...even though I haven't played Max Payne games yet but I want to play 'em. I always wanted to ask here in the game forums; I've seen the scores and they're good but I want to ask those who played them.

What's the gameplay like, it's a good third-person shooter, yes, but what else? I've heard Payne 2 is repetitive... In your own words...

They're not too innovative by today's standards, but they've got a good, noirish story and solid shooting/bullet time mechanics. They're obnoxiously hard in some places, but that's part of what makes them fun.

If you get 'em for PC, there's also a ton of good mods for them.

Great news, the only thing that worries me is that Rockstar is behind this instead of Remedy, but hopefully they do a good job. Can't ****ing wait for this game.

Yeah, the premise of the game seems to be that Max's already s***ty life has somehow gotten worse in this new city.

I've wanted a third Max Payne game, but I was willing to wait for Alan Wake to be finished and released before I grew impatient. Rockstar on the other hand isn't wanting to be patient.

I'll at least try the demo when it comes out before I make up my mind either way
