Decent episode overall, but I didn't like this take on Captain Marvel. At all.

I caught that noise too and it was a nice little tip-o-the hat to WotW. As for the Sentry's design, I prefer this more since the original comics version is too close to Sentinel territory. They should keep some significant visual distinctions between the two.

Hopefully we won't have to wait for next season for Ms Marvel to join the team and start making regular appearances

Pretty good episode. Not as good as "Masters of Evil", but still solid. I enjoyed the focus given to Hank and Jan, and the interaction between Thor, Hulk, and Iron Man as well. Captain Marvel was...not bad, but a bit bland as a character, I thought. I loved the inclusion of Carol, though, and I'm hoping she joins up as Ms Marvel sooner rather than later!

I'm just glad to see the kree/skrull/mar-vell. His tech was cool. Not sure about the costumes. I still like the old kree uniforms. New green ones remind me of the gl suits from first flight.

True. We'll see if this show goes that route with him. The benefit of the weird techno-organic weapons from Ultimate is that they probably look more "alien" than Nega-Bands. A:EMH could be wary of something that imitates Green Lantern stuff too much.

Just curious, are you a fan of Mar-Vell himself, or his kids? Because I know you like Genis and all, and to be honest you'd have to be around 40 to have fond memories of him beyond that death story.

I never cared for Mar-Vell much at all, so I didn't mind this version at all. It was a blend of Ultimate and 616, which might have offended purists.

I do agree the nega bands are like gl power rings. But I like this version if those were the nega bands we saw him using. The objects looked like liquid metal that formed solid objects. Looked cool when he made a sword.

Unlike Corp, I liked this version of Mar-Vel. Interesting take since I haven''t seen the Ulty version.

Series still really good so far! Wow, we have Ms. Marvel now-I really liked how she was characterized. And the talk she had with Jan in the car about Hank-nice detail, and very realistic-I've had that conversation countless times with other girlfriends!

Does anyone know when in the comics do the Avengers team up with the X Men for the first time? Who was their common enemy in that story? And the "genetic anamoly" that Mar-Vell was studying-was that a reference to mutants?

Looking forward to Black Widow's return next week! Hopefully we will find out more about her so-called betrayal.

The nega-bands are nothing like a GL ring, though. They don't form objects, they just shoot energy blasts and stuff.

I'm not a huge fan of Mar-Vell, but I'd like to see him portrayed faithfully. I don't know why they made him blue and I didn't like the shapeshifting weapons. The costume was all right, except for the mask thing. I would've preferred an actual helmet.

When he comes back, though, I want to see some nega-bands and the classic costume.

Good episode, like the more development between Hank and Jan and nice with the glimpse we've got of Ms. Marvel.

Very true. Still, making weapons out of a liquid metal alien body suit thingie is different enough from energy constructs. After all, maybe Marvel wants to save their "Green Lantern riff" for Nova, who is set to appear in ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN that will also air on DISNEY XD.

So we got 11 eps left, right? Next one is the Black Widow/HYDRA stuff, then 2 episodes featuring Kang, and the finale will probably be Loki unleashing his master plan. That leaves 7 episodes for The Avengers to capture escaped villains or face new threats. I guess there's no room for Ultron in this season.

I can't wait for the return of Mar-Vel. Yeah I didn't see why they made him blue either, unless they didn't want to go into reasons why there were pink and Blue Kree. Maybe it's because they wanted it made clear he was alien.

Finally got around to seeing the latest episode. I was a little hesitant about this one because I'm not that big of a fan of Mar-Vel, but I really liked it.

I'm really enjoying how different Avengers get the spot light each week and the active players shuffle from week to week.

Cool cliffhanger to end the episode. Another awesome week.

It's funny. I get that Nova has the Nova Corps and all that (and as such is very much like GL in the intergalactic police force stakes) but if we're talking direct comparisons, I always saw Quasar as the Marvel Green Lantern.

Abilities-wise, anyway.

And it looks like it covers why Cap, Black Panther, and Hawkeye were unavailable to handle Sentry #459.

Plus, more Grim Reaper; he has really broken out as a solid villain for this show, despite being a C-Lister that even many comic fans may have forgotten - good stuff all around. Those three Avengers are perfect for a black ops style adventure against HYDRA without the moans of, "Iron Man, Hulk or Thor could have handled all that in 12 seconds". I mean, we did have that Season 2 JL episode in which Batman and Wonder Woman had a James Bond style adventure in Casnia against Vandal Savage.
