Huh.

Is it official, or fan-made? It seems a little intense for a fan-film, but it seems a little flat for official.

Still, not bad.

Wow, that looks pretty cool, it's good to see they are doing that with more and more comic books. The last motion comic I saw being advertised was the Watchmen motion comic that was coming out on DVD.

Has anyone bought the official one? I saw a clip of one that appeared to have been from months ago and there was no mouth movement, limb movement or anything. But the trailer and the behind the scenes featurette up on newsarama and cbr has what looked to be excellent lip syncing. Unfortunately for us in the UK, the apple store won't let me buy anything from the US store and the UK one doesnt carry it.

The voices are horrible. Especially Emma's and Kitty's.

Cassaday's work is always amazing..but the animation for this..is kinda awkward.
It's cool nonetheless.

Anyone know what program this was done in? It seems like After Effects...

I thought most of the voices were good, but I didn't like Beast's and Logan's.

I didn't know it was going to be put on a DVD.. if that's the case, I hope they complete Whedon and Cassaday's run in this format. For those who want to go the free route, Hulu does have the first story arc up in its entirety.

I rented and watched the entire thing on DVD today. I remember that I loved this entire arc when I first read it (Whedon is awesome), so it was nice to revisit it here again. The animation is actually pretty cool, considering that they're just taking it straight from the comics. The score is also great. And I don't know why you guys don't like the voice acting, but I thought everyone fit their roles pretty well.

I would honestly love it if they brought out the rest of the arcs in this format, and would recommend it to people who don't normally read comics.
