The SIDESWIPE thread

I know there will be more of these to come, but since G1 and the comics I have always been a fan of his, mostly due to his being somewhat of the "big man on campus showoff" type, but having the skills to back it up Autobot. Hopefully they portray this in the flick, and have him do some massive stunts or action setpieces that show his persona. Fans of Sideswipe, sans Sunstreaker

, show some love.

Actually I think they should have gone with the alt mode he has in G1, or something similar. I don't like the Stingray at all.

I don't know. Maybe they were afraid that if they go to extremely colorful it would look kind of cartoonish. Or maybe they are just boring people with no sense of style. Next thing you know, they will all be beige and neutral so that everything will match.

If underused had another definition a picture of Sideswipe from ROTF should pop up. He was shafted for two characters that ended up being more of a detriment in exchange for a couple of cheap laughs (damn you Twins).

Anyway thought it was appropriate to revive this thread to discuss one of the most aesthetically awesome Bayformer to date.

Sideswipe! (Damn, I'm good!)

I read his G1 bio and i hate him (in G1 at least) already! He is the classic case of jock *******. In ROTF we barely got a glimpse of him in ROTF though. So who knows, maybe he isnt so obnoxious. I like him thus far.

I definitely got the "jock" vibe from him though in ROTF. The lines he has are kind of cocky sort of.

"Clear a path!" "Damn, I'm good". Sounds like G1 Sideswipe and the way he took care of Sideways too.

Although he is much more obedient in ROTF than he ever was in G1.

To be honest I didn't like Sideswipe in the movie because he killed an enemy that didn't want to fight. My point is Whellie sorry if miss spelled was given a second chance and who is to say at one point in his life he helped another Deception kill someone. IMO justice was not done in this movie.

Well he has to rollerscate so he needs a path. But yes, he sounded cocky. I dont mind cocky, i mind the rest of his G1 bio. He was an immense ***hole before joining the autobot army!

Thats Sideswipe personality though. Optimus and the rest of the Autobots always had problems controlling him. He is a unabashed cocky bastard and usually gets hurt because of it but also ends up kicking ass.

Plus Sideways showed he could care less about life when bursting through an apartment complex that could have killed several folks.

Sideswipe just put an end to a dangerous foe. You guys are acting as if the Decepticons weren't doing anything but they were hiding because the had just finished attacking Shanghai which wasn't shown on screen thus the evacuation shots in the beginning.

Sideways didn't didn't want to fight. Sideways COULDN'T fight. He knew he wouldn't be able to defeat the Autobots. That's why he tried to escape.

Change it to "The Sideswipe Two Lines" thread. From the way he acts, Sideswipe has the Decepticon tendencies regarding battle, but is an Autobot.
