The new Tales of the TMNT #56 seems to be getting rave reviews. Writer Tristan Jones and artist Paul Harmon have taken the series in a very dark and crime drama oriented direction. The results have been pretty awesome. It all seems to be part of a larger storyline that includes issues #36, 50, 56, 59, & 61.

I actually went out and picked up all of Tristan's work on TMNT after reading these reviews. It's really great stuff. He's sort of writing his own continuity over some of the next few issues apparently. I'll have to check it out.

I'm a BIG TMNT FAN, and Tristan is doing great with Tales. I Just hate Jim Lawson's artwork.

I love Paul Harmon's work though. He and Tristan have revived the characters IMHO. I'd love to see them get their own on-going. |

Lawson was pretty good on " City At War", and the comic adaptation of the first movie, but after that, his work looks like "wiggle vision" like Dr. Katz and Home Movies.
