I don't mean us, of course we're hyped. I'm talking about the general public. No one I know either knows nothing about this movie, or doesn't care. Hence, it's hype (other than us) is pretty much at 0. The E! thingy helped, but that was a few weeks ago, and it didn't hold up that well in terms of getting the GA hyped.

As for the marketing, yes, it's at 0 as well. A teaser poster or something would be nice. All we have now thats new news is the figures.

It will be on their minds though, maybe not now. But when the marketing machine does hit, the GA will be like "Oh the first one was awesome, Imma have me some of the sequel!"

The seeds are already planted in the GA from the first one, they just need a little reminding. Not a barrage of IRON MAN 2 IS COMING IN 5 MONTHS TIME!!!!11

Nothing is over due. There is no point to promoting the movie right now. Just because a movie gets promoted six months before it's release doesn't mean it needs to be.

When the Nightmare on Elm Street teaser hit, I was psyched. Doesn't do anything for the movie, it's not coming out any time soon. It's just money they didn't really need to spend so early, hell, I have yet to see it in the theater.

But there is really nothing extra that can be said. Some just don't understand good business.

by the way Jon Favreau is tweeting (IM2 related) all this editing and this ENTIRE WEEKEND editing, I'm going to call a mid-decemeber - Early Janurary teaser trailer. Full trailer probably mid-feb.
