How many songs do you have on your MP3 players, and are the majority of them of one particular genre or just different genres altogether?

Mine has a little over 900 and it's somewhat mixed although mostly hard rock/heavy metal.

I can only keep 250 or so songs on my iPod Shuffle, but that's more than enough for me. Fill it up with my songs of the week, plug it into the car, delete songs when I grow tired of them & repeat process.
 To answer the question though, it has to be 98% rock and/or roll.

My collection of music consists of damn near everything, Rap, R&B, Rock, Dance, Techno/Trance/Electronica, Country, Classical, Game Remixes (Thanks OC Remix!)

sounds like me ive got everything from rock, rap , classical, country, showtunes, pop, opera, r&b, underground, easy listening, indie, reggae, punk/emo, blues, jazz, haha even some tejano and mandarin
ok well only one mandarin song i have probably one song from just about any genre you could think of

i am now at 2402. i deleted a lot, added a lot of new stuff and still have a couple hundred-ish to transfer over to my new computer

I got 965 right now. The metal was whittled down to artists that I'm going to purchase albums from. The rest didn't warrant purchase nor further listening so they were removed.
Now, it's a strange mix of Talking Heads, The Police, Oingo Boingo, Scientist, Cake, Mos Def, The Roots, and Galactic. |

currently, 8,703 songs.
im actually very picky and selective about what goes into my itunes. it's all a variation of rock and roll to some degree, from the roots onward....starting with the delta blues and american folk, electric blues, country, rockabilly, lots of 60's pop, british invasion, underground 60's, garage rock, psychedelic pop, punk, etc....
