It's referred to once and awhile, but for the most part writters have left that aspect of Stark alone and done little to bring it back into the light.

If there was any time to bring his alcoholism back to the forefront, now would be that time. Especially with all he's been through lately in the recent comics.

One great comment about Stark, that I THINK was made by Matt Fraction, is that "Tony Stark is dry, not sober."

I think he has got a bit too much on his mind and is running too hard to be drinking. He is "The world's most wanted", he's gotta stay as sharp as he can. And deleting parts of his brain can't be helping, let alone getting back on the old booze.
